BigSKINBauer 07-25-2006, 09:28 PM i would be really interested in know who that bills player was. I guess we will never know. Coles is a good guy but as a player his two injury really hurt him. He reffused to do what was needed by having surgery so he had to go because of that and the fact him and gardner didn't seem to like it here. Looking at them both, they have fallen a lot since leaving here. Coles was a respected WR here(91 madden ranking and 99 speed). He was considered good. Now i don't rank him nearly that high. My favorite coles plays. The one against seattle(i think) where we were backed up and it was 3rd and pretty long i think and ramsey threw an INT and coles caught up to the guy in within the 30 yards he had a chance to and forced the fumble at the 1. We ended up in better position after recovering the fumble(my man thomas did that too). I don't think we had a chance of winning that game without that. That for some reason ranks as one of my favorite games. The way we won it with gardner throwing the TD to Trung. My second favorite was against philly on sunday night when he went across the middle and got absolutely laid out by dawkins and popped right back up and did his first down thing while running 20 yards up the field. MTK 07-25-2006, 11:08 PM After the Jets’ finale last season against Buffalo, Coles said a Bills player, whom he would not identify, approached him and made a coarse homophobic comment. “I just looked at him and turned away,” Coles said. “One of the officials was right there, and I guess he heard what the guy said because he came over and said, ‘Laveranues, you have nothing to be ashamed of.’ ” The memory stopped Coles in his tracks. “You realize how mean people are,” he said. Man, that's really horrible mooby 07-26-2006, 01:29 AM I wonder if the Bills player knew of Coles' past? If he didn't, he probably wouldn't have made that comment. If he knew about it and still decided to say something like that, then that's really fucked up. mike340 07-27-2006, 02:48 AM As stated earlier, he was our best receiver after the catch in 2004; he could really tackle those defensive backs! artmonkforhallofamein07 07-27-2006, 12:42 PM That story is truly awful. I feel bad for the man and I will pray for him. I liked him as a redskin (although that last year here was bad), but I'd trade him for Santanna Moss any day of the week. vaoutlaws2006 07-28-2006, 07:52 AM can coles say thank you dan snyder?
