I can't see the Texans letting Davis go unless they think his career is in serious jeopardy over this injury, which it doesn't appear to be. Just doesn't make alot of sense to release a guy with his talent when you don't have much behind him.

I dont think davis will ever play again unless he can learn to deal with the pain and right now he cant deal with the pain, the doctors have told him it's not going to get any better then it is,theres always going to be pain. Davis was interviewed on the sideline the last preseason game and let the cat out of the bag,his knee is down to almost bone on bone, theres no fixing that,so if he can deal with the pain next yr he might make the texans roster 1 more yr,he cant be traded because he wont pass a physical

I would expect Portis to be traded not Betts.

what?

What is everyone talking about, why would we trade our franchise hb that has a huge contract? Portis isnt going anywhere, why do people think he is

He won't go anywhere while injured in any case!

Texans have signed Dayne anyway.

are you serious? i dont see portis getting traded again. maybe cut a few years down the road because of the cap. but not in the forseeable future

hes not a gibbs type back, plus at this age he still has great trade value

Runningbacks aren't rare to come like QB. If you've got your O-line, QB and offense rolling it isn't hard to find a back that will win you games. I will say this: Portis is an exception. He's fast, he's tough, he can block, he can catch. Trading him would be silly. He's got plenty... plenty of juice left. Five years at least. Don't be crazy. I know we're a week away from the season... but lets not lose our heads.
