I remember 98 Rock being on while I was driving to work, and KML were talking about a plane hitting the WTC. I'm thinking to myself, this is a really bad joke...so I get to work, and have to promptly set up a tv in the CEO's office because of the news. I was pretty numb for the rest of the day, didn't get much work done, as I was trying in vain to stream what I could from the major news networks. I think we left at 3pm, considering no one was really getting any work done.
The best thing we can do to support our troops and to remember those who gave their lives is to keep on living the life. Don't let those ignorant bastards win by showing fear...push forward with pride.

I was flying that morning. I took off out of Dulles, two gates down from Flight 77 that hit the Pentagon, about 35 minutes before their flight took off. I'm sure I stood in line at Starbucks with people that died on that plane.
New's had just started to break when I landed in Atlanta for my transfer. Of course they shut down the airspace, so all flights were delayed, but they had also shut off the airport terminal TV's to keep people from panicking. The TV's came back on just as the first tower went down, and from there it was pure pandemonium as people bum rushed the airport exits. I was stranded for three days in Atlanta with no where to go and no way to get there, but it was okay because an amazing family of complete strangers opened their home to me. Without hesitation or reservation they invited me in, fed me, and treated me like some long lost cousin that had just been found.
I have a different view of the world today than before 9/11, but not for the worse. Today I have more faith in humanity now than I ever did before. The Secunda family of Atlanta, GA showed me more about the goodness of people than a hundred 9/11 attacks could ever erase.
Wow I know what you are say that more good came of that day and week then ever will be known! We all came to each other for help and a helping hands were given!!! Being on the left coast I was just getting up when on TV I saw with my kids the second plan hit the towers and my fourteen year old son at the time said dad come in here I think it fell! I could not belive my eyes for as a kid my family and I when to NY and when up in one of the towers. I had lost my dad six months before 9/11 and looking back at those photographys of us that day made it even harder to bear. How could smething so big be goen so fast and the people...so many people. The thing I remember the most was looking in the night sky that week after 9/11 and not seeing anything move....not a plane....only stars. A moment in time!

its really unbelievable that it was only 5 years ago and at this very time 5 years ago our world was much different. Regardless what we think about the current war we must all be thankful to those who fight for us and allow us to enjoy our skins game on monday night. It makes me feel almost guilty that I can just watch the game tonight but that is what is great about america. I wish i could go to the vikings game but when we all watch it where we are we should all think about how lucky we are to live in such a great country.

May our fallen heroes rest in peace ! May every American have a safe day today on our five year anniversery of 9 - 11 . Hopefully we can take a moment to , hold open a door for an old lady or just be polite to our fellow americans everyday , thank our police and fireman/women when we get a chance . Anyhow good bless America and all of the warpath members . USA
Needless to say what a horrible day.
I remember being at work that day when someone said a plane just hit the WTC. I remember not thinking much about it, thinking it must have been a small commuter plane or something. Curiosity got the best of me and I went to a TV to see what was going on. Shortly after we all watched the 2nd plane hit. What a surreal moment. Then news came of the Pentagon being hit, and news that there were other jets in the air that were hijacked, and I remember thinking it was the end of the world.
