MightyJoeGibbs 09-30-2006, 09:43 PM He could be an offspring of Chuck Norris. That Guy 10-01-2006, 02:25 AM yeah, but in div-2 (or women's pro football) you see 250-0 wins sometimes. the competition was obviously terrible. if he does that in div-1 in college, then you start tracking him. With his current stats, you figure he'll be on scholarship somewhere. saden1 10-01-2006, 02:57 AM This is horrible. I'm all for going for records but come on...the team they were facing was obviously not in the same class. What kind of coach keeps a kid in for that long? I mean seriously, don't you have some backup players you need to develop? When it's 40-0 in the fourth quarter it's time to put the backups in. I hate gutless and shameless coaches and hate athletic directors that don't schedule games against teams in their class even more. Picking a fight with a blind man is not cool and I see a lot of teams doing that not only at the HS level but the college level as well. It's disgusting really. dmek25 10-01-2006, 07:33 AM I'm with saden. whatever happened to sportsmanship? running the starters just to pyle up stats is sad. hooskins 10-01-2006, 01:37 PM This is horrible. And yeah no one would do that in the NFL....*cough, cough*.Shaun Alexander..*cough, cough* Monkeydad 10-02-2006, 12:45 PM McCoy, averaging 345 yards per game, has 1,723 yards and 26 touchdowns this season. Wow. Yeah, obviously this is a school that is far above the competion on their schedule. I looked up some scores for the team he plays for and they're 5-0 this year and have scored 60+ points twice so far and have outscored their opponents 225-79, even while playing out-of-state opponents! Here in PA we have a team like that...Manheim Central. My high school team came was pretty close to beating them in my senior year in the District championship to go to states. Their QB was Jeff Smoker. They've won the Disrtict III championship 13 years in a row now...and 15 out of the last 16 years. So far this year they're 5-0, outscoring their opponents 202-62. Berwick is another state powerhouse but have dropped off a little bit recently, but they've always been dominant. Ron Powlus played for them. They've won 3 NATIONAL Championships along with 6 State titles through the 80s and 90s. dmek25 10-02-2006, 08:37 PM yeah, and i think about manhiem central the same way i do about this thread a few years back, central beat solanco 91-0 in a game they put their starters back in to try and score 100 points. so much for sportsmanship, i guess Monkeydad 10-03-2006, 04:09 PM yeah, and i think about manhiem central the same way i do about this thread a few years back, central beat solanco 91-0 in a game they put their starters back in to try and score 100 points. so much for sportsmanship, i guess They're the only high school team I've seen (around here at least) that puts players' names on the backs of jerseys. Can you say "Football school"? |
