We may have got respect, but did you read what he wrote about the Jags? Here it is...
Jacksonville Jaguars (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/jaguars/) (2-2)
Their Monday-nighter against the Steelers was a classic heavyweight fight. But then the Redskins lit up this mighty Jacksonville defense to the tune of 36 points and 481 yards. It was like Sugar Ray Leonard knocking out Mike Tyson.
So he may have moved us up, just mainly so he does not look as stupid as he did last week if you read the start of his column.... Let's just go out and beat those damn Giants and who cares where they put us..
The bigger question is who do you want to win the Philly/Dallas game?

I think I want dallas to win, unfortunately (i wish they would tie, blah, blah), just so the eagles don't get a bigger lead in the division.

SI.com - Writers - Dr. Z's Power Rankings: Bengals, Seahawks, Chargers all take nasty spill - Thursday October 5, 2006 1:01AM (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/dr_z/10/04/ranks.week4/index.html?cnn=yes)
Interesting... Hopefully we prove him right, for once.
What do you mean prove him right? He has us losing to the giants

Unfortunately, we lost to the Cowboys, so I don't want to get into a tie breaker with them. I think I'd rather see Philly win and hope for a collapse. Or a skid when they hit the part of their schedule that doesn't include a bunch of fluff teams.

G-Men at 21. A little low, don'tcha think?
Not at all.
Redskins beat them this Weekend 20 - 14.
They are an unbalanced defensive team.
Their D was always suspect in the secondary and now they aren't getting pressure on the QB.
Their Pass Rush was always based on the Strahan threat, without it then Osi Umenyora (sp?) don't look so good.

without that constant threat of a pass rush, their secondary is really exposed. how old is strahan? it seems like he has been doing his thing for a long time

It's true they are suspect. But we haven't played well up there in a while. They (Giants) need this one bad, Especially the coaches. That circus could get away from Coughlin in a hurry. A close game. We need to play very well. I just don't know if the focus is there. The Redskins are all on their high horse blabbing away. I'm especially concerned about OUR secondary. If Springs doesn't play this year, we're not a threat to do much at all.
What about your "boys"? Are they going to end all this McNabb b.s. this week? You know they should beat Philly by 20. What will Donovan do when L.J Smith isn't wide open in the middle? He'll crap his pants and start throwing the ball up for grabs. It's a Dallas blowout. That Dallas defense is miles ahead of anyone Philly has played. Miles.

I mean prove him right in that he always tried to crap on us last year and we kept proving him wrong. So, now that he's finally giving the team some props (in terms of rankings at least) I hope we can prove him to be right about the Skins for once.
The more I think about it the more scared I am of this game. The Giants are really backed in a corner here. They have struggled with consistency all year. Granted they have played some very good teams, but that's no excuse for playing poorly. They should be 0-3 right now if Philly didn't blow that game. Seattle wiped the floor with them until they rallied with some meaningless late scores. They played the Colts tight but the Colts seemed a little off that night.
If we don't go into NY with our 'A' game, we're not going to win. NY needs this one very badly. I'm hoping the 36-0 skunk job from last year will be enough motivation for our guys to stay focused and motivated, because I really think NY is going to come out swingin' with everything they've got. If the Giants lose this they could be in for an ugly downward spiral.
If our offense keeps firing they way they have the last two weeks, I think it's going to be tough for them to keep up with us. If our 'D' can tighten up just a bit and not allow too many big plays, it could be a very long day for them. I'm predicting a close game but the Skins will pull away late, 30-21.

Well stated, Matty. Right on the money. It's a trap.
