A politician who tells the truth? I have never heard of such a creature.
Let's not get into a political debate.

When we all find out this isn't a QB problem, we'll finally start to focus on the REAL problem.

The QB was a large enough problem to make it worth addressing.
Now Gibbs has started the new era we can have something to get excited about. At least until we are shown otherwise.

Everybody knows that I respect Joe Gibbs and I love the fact that he's the coach of this team. I think Williams and Saunders are both great at their jobs. It's not translating to wins this season for some reason. Everyone wants to say "the players are dropping balls...the players are missing tackles...the players are committing the penalties..." The common link? Mental mistakes. Why doesn't the coaching staff get judged for this? Because the coach's name is Joe Jackson Gibbs. No one wants to say it, but if he weren't Joe Gibbs his job is hanging in the balance.
I don't think that Gibbs should be fired. Not by a long shot. However, I think Joe needs to step it up and do something. A team who's making mental mistakes and losing by double digit points often isn't preparing well. Does anyone think that Art Shell is a great coach right now? What about Nolan? Or Jauron? The point is the team is playing poorly and I can't put it all on the players. This whole organization is losing football games.
I agree with what Tony Kornheiser was saying earlier today: "Dan Snyder needs to say to Gibbs I'm paying you 5 million dollars a year...you should be calling the plays. You're an offensive genius. I don't see why I'm paying a guy 2 million dollars a year to do something you're great at."

By announcing that Brunell is getting benched just as AA was benched the week before, Gibbs is starting to appear like he is holding players accountable. If you could make a top 5 list of individual players that have performed less than expected AA and MB would be in that list. Holdman is there and so is Andre Carter. I still feel that Rogers gets a little more leeway just because he has less than two year's experience. Injured players or players earning veteran minimum also get a little more leeway. Having said that, I predict the next benching will be Holdman. Once players start realizing that their playing time is cut they'll start playing with a little more commitment. I hope we see a tougher "no one's job is safe" atmosphere within the Redskins organization

now with brunell on the bench, what are you going to be talking about?
Simple, next in line is Campbell and how bad he is, and how we grossly overated, and overpaid to draft him, and then turn that pick right back on Gibbs.
Or, just in case Campbell lights it up the topic will be, how Gibbs delusional loyalty towards Brunell cost us the season.
Don't worry I have thing's covered from every angle, thanks for your concern though.:D
