thats a stupid trade, Samuels is a beast ogi is gets sacks because of taylor period. I be the first to send a angry letter to Snyder and crew personally
Why does everyone say that he gets his sacks just because of Taylor. What are you guys thinking when you say that. How many sacks did the guy playing opposite of Kearse, Peppers, Strahan, etc have last year?!?! Playing opposite a beast end doesnt mean you lead the league in sacks does it, becaues Adewale did lead the AFC in sacks. Anyone that gets 15 sacks is a good player. Do you really think that Jason Taylor was gettign double teamed every play with Adewale playing the way he was...I highly doubt that, expevcially since he was getting more sacks that Taylor.

I wanst talking about whether or not it would be a good trade, just that everyone is underestimating his abilities. We probably sholdnt trade any players at this point, but id give up picks for him in a heartbeat

i dont see how taylor playing three spots away could affect him to the point were he had 15 sacks

I agree this would be a stupid trade. Absolutely idiotic. For Miami. Trade a top sacker for a guy who had a weak 2002 season and a horrible 2003 at OL? I doubt we made this insulting offer staight up, but if we did, they would have been laughing their butts off. Sure I "HOPE" Samuels will turn it around and live up to his potential. But it seems in this thread (and many others here) that there are a lot of guys here who just don't want to part with ANY Redskin who has spent a few years with the team. Guys, don't get so attached. With the Snyder approach to salary cap (which, by the way, I think is brilliant), there will be more high-dollar players departing in trades in 2006 and following years. But if they can pull off more trades like the one for Portis, GREAT!!! It's about winning, and with Gibbs seemingly calling the trade shots for now, as well as coaching the team, it seems we are on the verge of a few years of doing just that.
