yesterday on Around the Horn, Michael Smith said that the TO - Parcells marriage needed to end & if the boys keep TO, Parcells should take the Giants gm job.
Maybe that's where it started, or smith heard the rumor too?

I heard it mentioned around the office ast week that there was some speculation that Parcells wanted to go back to New York.

Personally, I think he stays one more year in Dallas.

I think they both stay one more year. Parcells is as close to a championship (:vomit: ) as he's been in a long time. He's got a good thing going with that team. Leaving now would put the Cowboys in a bind. He may even be labelld a quitter since that's en vogue now.

If TO doesn't want to go and doesn't stir up any crap this off-season there's no good reason for him to be let go. He dropped a lot of passes but apparently a lot of that is due to his finger which is supposed to repaired this off-season.

Seems like it would be hard for him to leave if he still wants to coach after he's built the team.
On the other hand, if he's pissed at JJ & TO, & wants to end his career close to home where he had the most success, the Giants job might be too tempting.
I could see Coughlin getting canned & the tuna replacing him, more than the tuna being gm.

I don't think he can coach elsewhere next year (much like Cowher), unless the Cowboys are compensated.

You know what would be insane? Bill Parcells as Redskins GM

I can't see Parcells leaving and having his last game be that disaster from last week. I say he comes back and TO is out.

I'll go knock on his summer house door and see what he says. :)

Michael Irvin was on Dan Patrick yesterday saying that he though both Tuna and TO would be back, and that there differences had been greatly exaggerated by the media. He also sounded like he was drunk and maybe even cracked out though, so take his words for what they are....

I just can't see Parcells in a limited football role like GM. He seems like the kind of guy who wants all or nothing.

"(Scott)Pioli, 41, would have fit the profile and was the leading outside candidate. Pioli, along with Patriots coach and former Parcells assistant Bill Belichick, have constructed a dynasty in New England that includes three Super Bowl wins. Pioli is married to Parcells' daughter, Dallas."

I think losing Coughlin and Barber will have a greater immediate impact than signing a good GM.

LOL Irvin is a joke, I really don't understand how the guy has a job in the media.
