He made a mistake and should and will be penalized criminally and/or via the university. We musn't forget he's 20 years old and famous with a millionaire older brother and a pretty good future (at 20 yrs old) of becoming another Vick millionaire. He will outgrow these legal happenings whether he chooses to be 'good' and follow in the steps of his bro becoming a great NFL QB or chooses to work on cars or whatever. Might not be smart, but shit he's 20 yrs old. Anyone here drive fast and smoke weed before you were 21? Some of us have learned its not a real smart thing to do!

Guys - Vick has had very limited exposure as far as what we've seen as a QB. However, Marcus crushed Mikes highschool records and has a load of talent (thank god for Kazaa, they have everything. Even some HS Vick games!) If I do remember SkinsNCanes, they put Marcus in because we were already up by quite a few touchdowns =p

Keep it in perspective he smokes weed and drove too fast and got caught up with some young girls, he is still a kid. People are so quick to judge but those are relatively small infractions, we should pay more attention to the people raping our kids and smiling in our faces everyday. but those kinds of people get a slap on the wrist and get sent to another district to perpetrate again. It would matter if he was a driver or fighter pilot or precher but as a quarterback who cares about his lifestyle is that really important? Can he run can he throw can he learn the plays? We hold 20 year old kids to higher standards than we hold our leaders. Cheney has two dui's and Bush has one should that have their lives runined? No. He might become a born again christian one day, he still has time to grow into a man and be a productive citizen.

so havin sex with a 15 year old is a small infraction? Getting the girls drunk and telling them to strip is a small infraction?

It was in Janurary or Feburary of this year I belive. So he cant be any older now than he was then, unless his birthday was between now and then.

I wasn't doing that shit when I was in my teens. This whole “he is still a kid” shit needs to be dropped. Honestly, how many times does one get the chance to fuck up? I for one hope he doesn't see the playing field this whole season, at least.

Making excuses for him isn't going to help him. He may not be Mike but he has talent and to see him waste it away a la Todd Marinovich (and countless others) would be a shame.

he should realize he's gonna be under an intense magnifying glass not only because his last name is vick but because like Daseal said, he decimated his brothers hs records, so there is a huge amount of expectations for him to perform espcially playing at the college his brother helped put on the national stage. Any of u saying he's just a kid and kids make mistakes don't think that his ego has anything to do with some of the recent choices he's made? Like I told my friends, I'd like to hear how much weed it was and how fast he was driving cuz u can get charged with reckless driving for only driving 20 miles over the speed limit which a majority of people do on highways. But thats still no excuse cuz with each slip up he's not only lossing points with possible scouts due to his maturity, but he's going to miss a lot of practice and playing time and he is still in need of both to help refine his mechanics and field smarts.
as for the underage girl thing I think he was 19 at the time and I honestly didn't think it was bad as it was made out to be cuz its not like there aren't quite a few girls that age partying harder than people my age(23). and he was just one year removed from high school so its not like it was a huge age difference and it's not like he gave them ruffies like that kicker from the raiders.

Kids make mistakes, its part of growing up. I think the university took the right step by suspending him indefinitely, hopefully he does have that heart to heart with Beamer and straighten up.
He's got a ton of talent, but he doesn't seem too bright. I see him sitting out the majority of the year, but he's got a lot to live up to. And now he's got to show that he's worth all the trouble he's caused, because I guarantee he'll suit up for at least one game this year and will probably start next year.
He is incredibly gifted, love the naysayers who want to judge him after a few games this season. Give him time.
