Its a dip and I agree that it sounds to healthy but its only a dip and not a main item. Everytime I make it for a party it is gone along with all the junk food.

I might try it. sounds like potatoe chips may break should i use trotilla chips?

Basically you can take any flavors you like, mix them with some butter and get awesome wings. Here's a nice way to make some tasty ones.

Get your butter at room temperature so you can mash it. Take any flavorings you like, if you like cajun, toss that, some paprika, garlic powder into the bowl with the butter, mash it all up. Now bake the wings until they're done and while they're hot toss them in the bowl with all the butter and it coats them nicely.

Yeah, but I don't know about this particular recipe, I just pulled it off a random website. They basically just taste like crab cakes, which means that they're really good.

Crab cakes and football. That's what Maryland does.

I am so jealous. Maryland blue crabs are one of my favorite foods, and I can't get them because I live in Florida. :(

I think you can get blues from parts of the Gulf. I could be wrong but I feel like I've heard that a lot of blue crabs actually come from the NO area.

Yeah, you can ... but they're not the same. I've had blue crabs at restaurants around here, and they aren't as good. They "claim" to be Maryland, but I doubt it. They gotta be Chesapeake Bay blues!

One of the better places to get crabs in MD, and they ship.

I make a pretty killer seven layer dip.
1st layer - 1 can of refried beans that has been mixed with a packet of taco seasoning
2nd layer - 8oz Cream cheese and 8 oz sour cream mixed. Since I love cilantro, I add some here.
3rd layer - Salsa (I usually use a jar of Pace Think and Chunky Medium)
4th layer - Green Pepper
5th layer - A good mix of onions and green onions
6th layer - lettuce
7th layer - shredded cheese (i recommend one of the Mexican blends)

And garnish with either black olives, jalapenos or both.

AMD - yes, there are Louisiana Gulf Blue Crabs...the places that serve crabs year round here get them in the winter. They are good, but not the same. They aren't as sweet as a MD Blue.
