Private boat. I would assume they we're counting on the discretion of the crew. They needed to do a little more due diligence in terms of what the crew would be okay with. But they weren't at some bar where anyone could walk in. Slight difference but not toally irrelevant to me.
Private boat on public waters though, weren't they out on the deck partying it up at some point?

I'd rather have Smoot over Bly and over a hugely paid Clements. I am still counting on Rogers progressing. He wasn't as bad last year as it seemed. Springs needs to restructure. I don't get why it is so sticky.
Same here. I don't see what all the talk over Bly is about. Maybe I missed something.
I wonder with Springs if they are trying to work a incentive based deal based on games played? In other words, the more games he misses due to injuries, it cuts into his contract.

Yeah, there's no way he's worth now, after being released by a team, what he was when he left Washington via FA a few years ago. At the same time though, his agent might realize that the Skins need a lot of help in the secondary and that could drive up the price a little bit.

Who knows, maybe he turns out to be our Jeremiah Trotter - Comes back to his original team after chasing big FA bucks and turns in a pro-bowl performance or two.

Well, they were breaking the law by holding these 'festivities' in public view, right?
I don't think it was public view so much as the crew of the boat got pissed.
They were probably just pissed they couldn't enjoy the party!

Our needs shouldn't up the price. The market will set it. They have no leverage to charge us more than whatever anyone else will pay regardless of our needs. If they base their decision on our needs they would be doing it just to be jerks. Basically they'd be saying..."I'll take less to sign somewhere else because we want you to overpay for us."

Suppose Smooty and Ryan Clark end up coming back here?
That along with Ramsey being cut and not making in NY....man would some of us have to eat some crow!

I don't either, I think our best hope will be Smoot and/or Bly.
If we sign both, do one of these guys play as a nickel? I would think that would be a waste unless we're saying something about Rogers.

I'd be fine eating crow on Clark, I don't see Ramsey coming back even though I wouldn't mind it. I didn't want to see him leave or Smoot. But Clark ? I was ready for it after he got stiff armed by LT for the winning TD. I surely missed him last year though !

Wait, what? Was Amani Toomer there also?
