Yeah I agree, but also for another reason. I figure the Bucs board is about to get a serious beating as word of that abuse of power bounces around the fansites of other teams. They need some serious messing with from as many people as possible and I would rather keep the retaliatory dogs from sniffing around here. It's really bad because that site is affiliated with the team. Like I said who the hell is in charge down there and why?

I'm not supposed to talk/type. SmootSmack banned me for 10 weeks. Don't let him know you're trying to communicate with me or you'll get it even worser (still haven't bought the AP book thingy).

This is Mod IV's comment in one of the "Rules" thread:

It's not a question of "letting something slide". It's a question of seeing how far some of you can hijack a legitimate NFL discussion with draft talk. Most return to normal after a few posts, usually with the help of rule savvy board veterans.
Be advised that some of you have a propensity for that (interjecting draft talk in an NFL thread). It has not gone unnoticed.

Fair warning.

uh ohhhhh - Mod IV is watching you. We wouldn't want anyone to confuse discussions about the NFL draft with a "legitimate NFL discussion".

Then there is this exchange in the same thread.

With all due respect, this is one reason why I rarely post anymore on the forum. I realize you're trying to make it better here, and I respect that, but frankly I think the personal attacks and insults, along with the downright depressing undertone of Team Discussion is a far bigger problem. To threaten to take action against people because their posts contain FA AND Draft comments in one post? It just doesn't seem right.

But hey, it's your forum, I guess.

Mod IV's response:

PeatMossJr. Comment noted.

See you in 3 months.

I'm sorry, it just leaves me speechless.

it's like when saddam asked his advisors who tried to plot a coup, thanked them for their honesty, and then had them all shot.

nothing like that to really promote the free exchange of ideas.

we should hijack the board and either ban everyone or just the mods for the next two years.

That forum sucks major donkey balls.

Most of the talk there (more than 50%) is about how people have violated the rules in some way. They are so full of themselves, and their rules, that they can't even have any discussion.

Somebody posted something which apparently violated the rule of "making light of a player's injury". Then, when another person quoted it for response, he was scorned for quoting something that had broken one of the rules. Apparently, quoting an illegitimate post is a bannable offense.

Pretty soon, that forum will just be a couple of mods talking to themselves. Yay! F'ing morons...

This site is one of the few sites that the Mods don't get in the way of discussions for the most part. Everyone gets emotional once in a while, but the mods here do a very good job of staying level headed.
If you disagree, I suggest you visit other sites. I've been to some rough ones that would ban you for disagreeing with them. You could say Green was the best CB the skins ever had, and if he felt Bailey was, you were banned. It happens. We have very good mods here.
