Once again, a Skins fan creates an embarassing debate. S. Moss isn't even half the receiver R. Moss is. Our Moss is inconsistent, injury-prone, and too small to be more than one-dimensional. As of this season Moss is becoming a liability on the field, so much so that Thrash, McCardell or Caldwell could all easily be starting over him.

R. Moss, like him or not, is one of the greatest receivers over the last two decades. He plays a huge roll in almost every game. Even if he is not catching a lot of passes like in the Dallas game he requires so much coverage that he gives other guys big opportunities. He will play a huge roll in NE winning the SB.

Meanwhile, our Moss requires little coverage since middle of last season because he is constantly "hurting" and has lousy hands.

First of all, look at when this thread was started. Right after the Draft and well before training camp. The thesis was based on the previous performances of the 2 receivers over the past couple of years.

No one could have predicted that Santanna would fall off of his game this much. Furthermore, few predicted that Randy would actually return to his old form. It just goes to show you how much nobody really knows what they are talking about. Only time will tell what reality is. You may make a brilliant prediction today, but a horrible one tommorrow.

Bye the way, this thread is over 5 months old. This was a compelling debate at the time. Surely, we realize by now that this is currently a rediculous argument. No Kudos to whoever dug it back up.

I don't know what games u have been watching but we could not be on the same level as NE even if they had Santana Moss and we had Randy. Brady and Peyton are in a league of their own and they will not let their teams be mediocre. I don't think NE is unbeatable (in fact we have a chance to beat them IMO) but they have something that the skins won't have for awhile. Experience, specifically big game experience. They know how to close out games and they have that killer instinct. They were losing to Dallas in the 3rd quarter on the road. Could you imagine how the Redskins would have responded in that same situation? We might have been able to pull one out but I am DAMN sure that we wouldn't have put it into 6th gear and won the game by 21 points like they did. Sorry man I love the skins and am not a big fan of the Pats at all, but lets not get carried away.

pay damn attention, im not talking about Brady or Manning, we easily could be 5-0 and if we had a big play receiver our record would reflect that, now as far as N.E. is concernced or D is Better than there's and even though Jason is not there yet, you can see he has it.......to be a very good QB, he just needs a receiver like Larry Fitzgearld or C. Johnson or and it opens up everthing else........but you will be sucking crow, wen we get our receiver to help JC

We may not be able to get a Fitzgerald or C. Johnson, but Bryant Johnson from Arizona is a FA at the end of the season, he's 6'3" 220 and the only reason he ins't starting is because he is behind Fitz & A. Boldin. He would be a great FA acquisition in the off season and should come at a reasonable price.

sling sammy, there's a rumor going around that Fitz wants out of Arizona. The only reason he was drafted by Denny was because he knew him since he was a ball boy on the Minnesota sidelines. He is an excellent player no doubt, and if the cards were going to let go of him they'd want ridiculous compensation, but who knows -- fitz may free up sooner rather than later.

splitting hairs?? Steve Smith, as much as i dislike the guy, is one of if not the biggest playmaking WR in the NFL. Can you seriously say that about Santana right now? He has 1 good year here. The other two have been very iffy.

At the time I wrote that post, yes, we were splitting hairs. But again, that's just the I see it.
