I have a few friends that like to hate on me for listening to him because of how little skill he's got. Yeah, he's extremely basic and everything sounds the same... but you've got to love the sound. Nothing helps me get the stress of school/work/life off of my shoulders like 60 min of Jack Johnson. Today was especially stressful; I got a call that my girlfriend had been in a car accident... so I rushed to the scene, went to the hospital, dealt with hospital people for an hour, and eventually met her parents there (never met them before). She's going to be fine, but all this on top of school and doing taxes. Burnout. I had to buy his new album today, and it doesn't disappoint. When I was younger and had a large BBall court in my driveway, I'd go out and shoot baskets. Sometimes I'd just do really hard bankshots until I calmed down, other times, halfcourt shots. :D RobH4413 02-12-2008, 10:10 AM When I get really angry, which is actually rare, I go pump some weights, usually benchpress. It's hard to feel stressed after listening to him for a while. I really like the new album too. |
