GTripp0012 07-29-2007, 10:51 PM Not because Brunell was let go, the reason people would start crying is because we have no experienced backup capable of really leading the team that we know of right now, yes people would start crying if Campbell get's hurt, but most would shoot themselves if either Brunell or Collins see the field again.Offiss, how do you suggest we get a QB better than Mark Brunell this offseason and how much would you pay to compensate him?
Better QBs than Brunell are out there, but unless you want to go the Culpepper route, they are going to cost a lot more than we are paying Campbell.
Pocket$ $traight 07-30-2007, 12:08 AM They should be fired.
Honestly, if you are paid to evaluate them and you come to this conclusion, what good are you to your organization?
Anyway, needless to say, I think you just pulled this out of your ass. Aaron Brooks' rep around the league is not good.
Try a media outlet besides Redskins.com and then come talk to me.

EARTHQUAKE2689 07-30-2007, 12:58 AM that is funny Gtripp.
wilsowilso 07-30-2007, 01:02 AM He led teams to the playoffs and would be considered one of the best backups in the league (according to people who are paid to analyze the NFL).
You must be joking.
jsarno 07-30-2007, 01:36 AM You must be joking.
Can you really name 15 or 16 better backups in the NFL?
He's not the best backup, but he's better than average. (thus the 15 or 16 better back ups)

He's not the best backup, but he's better than average. (thus the 15 or 16 better back ups)Anytime we do this its subjective, but off the top of my tired brain:
Mark Brunell
Brad Johnson
Chris Simms
David Carr
Joey Harrington
Brian Griese
Brooks Bollinger
Gus Frerotte
Seneca Wallace
Kurt Warner
Trent Dilfer
Brady Quinn
Charlie Batch
Kyle Boller (maybe)
David Garrard
Jim Sorgi
Tim Rattay
Sage Rosenfels
Kellen Clemens
Craig Nall
Billy Volek
Billy Joe Tolliver
Billy Joel
Bill Nye the Science Guy
Jerry Porter (just ask him!)
The Saints' Waterboy
Aaron Carter (but not Quincy Carter)
and Patrick Ramsey
So no, I don't think Brooks is a top half backup. I don't really think he has any business left in this league, no matter what Pete Prisco says.

OOOOH, wait a minute...I thought he was saying Brunell, not Brooks.
Brunell is a top 5 or 6 backup...Brooks shouldn't even be 3rd string.

Still, making that list was fun :)

When I first started reading those name, I was like, damn this guy hates brunell, and he's on drugs. LOL.
For as much as I don't want Brunell as my starter, I like him as a backup.
