This isn't per chance your site is it? If it is, no need to spam this board. Just reach out to Mattyk (click on "Contact Us") and he can discuss linking to each other's sites with you.

Also, is this the same site that had the "inside source" that Taylor was carted off the field with a serious knee injury?

And finally, do you need to be taught how to hyperlink? Let us know, one of us can teach you

Speaking of our offense, I saw a really good breakdown from last nites game. This guy has way too much time on his hands.

Wow. Good stuff on that link. Thanks Timmy. (That guys does have some time on his hands, no doubt.)

Are we looking at the same thing, Smoot? It was a chart analyzing all the offensive plays, with commentary--didn't seem so bad to me. I didn't see the game, so I can't say if the charts are accurate, but it was interesting. I didn't look at the rest of the site, so maybe I missed the bad.

I defer to your better judgment if there's trouble...:spam:

My take on the game was mixed. I thought Campbell looked pretty good when he had time to throw the ball and he made a couple good passes to Moss and Randle El. He does need to learn to hold the ball and just go down when the pass rush is coming and the pocket collapses. He also needs to read blitzes better because on that first sack and fumble he didn't even see the blitzer coming and got blind sided. I think the titans also picked on Heyer and Wade a lot.

I agree that our o-line didn't create many holes for Cartwright to run through, but when he did have holes, if it was Portis or Betts, they would've created much more with the football.

My biggest worry about the offense was where was Cooley? Was he thrown to at all in the entire game? He needs to be a huge part of this offense and I don't believe he saw any looks. I mean maybe they moved him to protection since tennessee was blitzing a lot but he needs to see much more action.

The defense looked pretty dang good, Fletcher looks ready to play and he looks like one of the better acquisitions we've made in awhile, plus he played under GW for awhile in Buffalo so they have some chemistry. The d-line looked good against the run even in the absence of Griffin, and I think we did pressure the quarterback enough to make him throw bad passes. Landry made a couple good plays and so did Rocky McIntosh, didn't hear Washington's number called too often. I think our secondary does look a little bit suspect and we are still playing like ten yards off of people so that worries me.

The last thing I noticed is that Suisham or whatever does not have any competition on the depth chart, and he clanked a 49 yarder off the upright and kicked a kick-off out of bounds. After watching this performance I think we need to think about bringing in some competition into training camp.

Overall, I think this was a game of ups and downs and hopefully we'll see a better performance from the starters, especially the offense, next saturday against the steelers.

Welcome, Bullyworm. Nice post. I agree with your analysis. You seem pretty right.

Don't worry Marcus Washington did make some plays. He was the first Skin to bring Chris Brown down behind the line during their first drive. He was around the ball a lot as well, helping with a few tackles. I remember thinking it looked like he bounced back from his hip surgery pretty well the way he was flying around the field.

I hope they play Palmer at some point. We need a young guy in there to push JC or at least give us a healthy option if JC gets hurt. Brunell should do the honorable thing and retire before he is dumped.

The pass was there before the defenders got there.

AS a former, you have one job: Catch the Frickin Ball!!! Not only did he get two hands on it, but he brought it into his chest only to lose it. It could have even been a fumble.

That very well could have been a 3 and long in a SEASON game, where it counts mind you, that we needed, and the only outcomes that I saw were a dropped pass and a potential fumble.

Think about that!

I dunno. It looked like the defenders converged as soon as JC threw it. I remember that play was shot with that angle from behind Campbell, so you could pretty much see what he saw. I definitely thought ARE fumbled that ball too, considering the rule change.

It looked like JC may have had Cooley deeper on that route, but I think he checked down to ARE because he was under such intense pressure and couldn't have thrown a better deep ball to Cooley. Throwing it away Brunell style may have been the best option.

No it was a fine analysis. All I'm saying is he's had two posts on this board so far. And both times he's linked to that site (the first time a couple of days ago to a blurb that said "my inside sources say Sean Taylor was just carted off the field" or something along those lines).

History has shown that when people come onto our site and are constantly linking to another site that it's their own site that they are trying to promote (unless it's GTripp and Football Outsiders).

As a rule of thumb, if someone wants to do that all they need to do is contact Matty and Matty discusses with them linking from one site to the other. That's all I'm saying.

Good memory Smoot. Its not my site, I actually met the guys who run it at a Skins game though (they had season tix next to me and we kept in touch, no homo). I don't think they read this forum, so I just thought you guys would get a kick out of the info. A bit too much of a breakdown for me, but I know there are some nutters on this site...so to each their own.

Thanks for the advice, I'll tell them to reach out to Mattyk.

I can't hyperlink until I have enough posts. I have been a lurker here and never had a reason to log in until now.

As for the Taylor story, I can't speak to that. I know I just posted on here that they are reporting a MRI. After emailing with the admin of the site, they still stick by it. Don't know who to believe, but excited about Taylor's year.

Anyways...F the Steelers and their stupid mascot.

Hey thanks a lot for the welcome guys. I have been browsing around this message board for awhile and I finally decided to join. I am only 19 but I am a diehard Redskins fan forever, born and raised, and I'm pretty well informed on their history. I'm going to the Steelers game next saturday so hopefully we'll see some better performances from the starters, especially the offense.
