How about the fact that he has averaged 4.3ypc during he 2 years, despite being behind one of the worst offensive lines in football. Just to put it in perspective, that is higher than Portis' ypc in Washington(4.0ypc)... with your talented oline. I'm no saying that Ronnie is better than Portis... but that puts it in a little perspective.
And the biggest bust in that draft?!? Um... do you even realize who was in that draft? Let me list you the top 10 picks:
1. Alex Smith
2. Ronnie Brown
3. Braylon Edwards
4. Cedric Benson
5. Cadillac Williams
6. Pacman Jones
7. Troy Williamson
8. Antrel Rolle
9. Carlos Rogers
10. Mike Williams
And he is the biggest bust?!? LOL! EVEN if he was actually a bust, which is rediculous, he is better than all of those players. There are few players in that draft that have panned out better than Ronnie. Merriman is one (Who went at 12), you could make an arguement for Ware (but I would disagree), and Frank Gore (Who didnt go till Round 3). I liked Rogers a lot before the draft (ahead of Rolle and Pacman)... and am still a fan of his (I loved that Auburn team. They got robbed of a National Title)... but I would take Ronnie over him all day.
And about "dreaming" about Ronnie having 100 all purpose yards... just so you realize... Ronnie averaged 98 all purpose yards per game last year. And he was basically ignored by our offensive cordinator(Mularkey). He is going to get more touches with Cameron calling the plays. Especially receiving...
I am not saying that he will have 100 all purpose yards... but the prediction isnt off base.
But hey, stats and facts are confusing. You are probably better off to continue to make baseless comments and opinions with no real substance or reasoning.
ok ok, so he isnt the biggest bust. he is still a bust, just not the biggest. this guy was the number two pick! i dont care what oline you have and what his averages are. and yes most of what i say in here is opinion not fact. but heres a fact 10td. that is his career total along with his 4.3 ypc. good running backs find a way into the endzone more than 10 times in 2 years. and here is another fact, coaches dont ignore stud players. you are playing to much fantasy football and looking at the numbers. ronnie brown was not ignored, he just didnt give them the best chance to win. being the number 2 pick with no quarterback to speak of, wouldnt you run the living shit out it? i know 31 other teams that would if they had a stud running back (ronnie brown is average). anyways man, yes my opinion is just that, but there are facts that back up what i am saying i just usually dont post a thesis on here.
