Concur, a non-issue. I believe that stadium is field turf like most and does not stay slick after a rain.
Now if it rains DURING the game you have an issue of keeping the footballs dry.
figured it was field turf & it's a pretty new stadium I believe, so it should drain well. I don't know how much time is needed for that to happen though. If it rains steadily the next few days as expected the area will be inundated.

I don't think the wet field affected us at all against Green Bay. I think us playing like ass in the second half affected us at Green Bay.
We know how to catch the ball in the rain. We know how to run in the rain. Our team is from Washington DC and plays outdoors, not from New Orleans and plays indoors.
If we get beat by the Patriots, I can guarantee it won't be because of a wet field.
This thread is retarded.

You are right quality control is on the field not before the field
Thanks and will watch what's in the Kool AidI don't remember Coy Gibbs having anything to do with conditioning

WEll I apologize for cluttering the site w/a "retarded" thread, however it evoked some responses that I think we worth reading & thinking about re: cleats, game ball & field turf.
If you noticed the last sentence of the post, I mentioned that there is always talk about how weather affects a game. Part of the reason for the thread was to discuss how it would impact the game, e.g. advantage to running, passing? IF the field is wet.
If "we know how to run in the rain" did Moss' slip & fumble have nothing to do w/the rain? sounds like you think so, I just disagree.

I disagree that the field didn't cause us problems in GB. You ever tried to run with a groin or hamstring pull? You ever tried to run on a slippery surface when you're perfectly healthy?
Now try combining both, and running on a slippery surface with a groin or hammy. You can't go full speed and you'll run gimpy.
