Cutler or Campbell? I'd take Cutler.
As a football coach? Give me either. I can win with them.
JC really needs to stop giving the ball away like candy. He has to feel the pressure coming and ideally avoid the sack, but at the very least pull the ball down. Pocket presence is not one of his finer details right now.

I recently been a little critical of JC but it doesn't mean i want him to be benched. Let's be patient. For whatever reason our O is bad, and i don't know what to think of anyone. I'd like to see JC to start showing us he can win games for us. I haven't really seen that yet.

Thankfully, Campbell's fumblitis hasn't cost us a game (yet), as 3 of his 4 FL's came in the New England game and we have to be honest with ourselves and know that he could have protected the ball all day long and we still would have lost handily the way the Pats were playing.
That said, with JC and CP, we have two of the top fumblers in the league right now. Add that to Santana's near-league-leading passes dropped stat and the fumble he lost that DID cost us a game, and it's easy to see why Campbell's numbers are lower than expected.
Beyond your O-Line, I think a QB's foundation are the triumvirate of his RB, TE, and WR1. If two of those positions are injured, playing the worst ball of their careers, dropping and/or coughing up the football, and underperforming in pretty much every way, it's hard to expect a QB to set the world on fire, at least a young QB like Campbell.

Haven't you been an ardent Campbell supporter? Not trying to call you out, just trying to clarify your position.
Yes I am because of his potential. I think he has all the tools to be a great QB.
But I will call a spade a spade, and he's not playing well. I have no doubt he'll come around, but 10 turnovers in 6 games is unreal. 14 starts or not, that has to stop, and it has to stop NOW.

Well there are at least 10 people on this site that want him benched.
WOW...I guess I haven't been paying enough attention then.
I retract my Portis statement then. Anyone that thinks we will be better off without Portis is smoking crack. If you watch the games, you'll notice the line is not helping very much, so unless we sign Barry Sanders, anyone would have an issue running the ball for us. Quite frankly I am surprised he's done as well as he has.

I think pocket presence is something you either have or you dont have. It's like some guys can just feel the rush w/out looking at it. JC does not have seem to have it. But he can keep drives alive w/his legs.
I wouldn't 100% blame him on the fumbles. Vrabel and Colvin just abused our line. But he does need to put two hands on the ball. This is very correctable.

Some of the turnovers are not his fault.

Stats never ever tell the whole story. I have watched 3 Denver games and Cutler makes alot of mistakes. He throws behind people, he throws into coverage, he throws off his back foot and then he makes a throw and you say, "did u just see that?"
He is just like JC. Up and down just like most young qb's making their way in the NFL. Everybody knew we were going to go through rough patches with a young QB so no need to complain cause he has 10 turnonvers. I would bet 5 of them were not his fault.

Both guys are young and still getting their feet wet. What's the point of comparing them?
To show that Campbell is not the only young QB having up and down moments, I'm trying to quiet the Campbell critics that forget that he doesn't even have a years experience.
