Again Atl playbook
shotgun Trio
slot quick flat
hike the ball
roll campbell out to the right (to get a better angle)
hit cooley on the fade
if their formation has the fade covered hit caldwell over the middle.
I have found that Cambell completes more passes when throwing on the run (R2)

I don't have Madden 08, but here are some things that have always worked for me on previous versions:
West Coast playbook-
4WR shotgun - HB option. Use strong slot to put Moss in the slot, and look for him to beat the FS. If he is covered, CP is usually open in the middle of the field.
Balanced D playbook-
Quarter formation - Under Smoke. Spread out your d-line, and just watch the QB go down. Works almost every time. I had 17 sacks in a game with just one player using this play. If you want, you can also substitute your quarter d-back with Taylor or Landry, but it'll work with just about anyone.
i cant do anything with balanced d... and madden 08 is a hell of a lot different than the older versions with the ai of the secondary... you really have to read the field.

Putting Jansen as the second tight end is a must!!
In single back big it puts him next to Samuels .
Roll out behind Jansen in a pass for good protection. Or just run behind him and Samuels.

One thing I learned is that Madden does not look kindly on people that never or always blitz. The AI has gotten much better in recent years and if you blitz on every play, you're going to get toasted. If you never blitz, you are going to get toasted. Mix up the coverages, blitzes, etc. and you will fare much better (at least in All-Madden).
Similarly, mix up your playcalling on offense. Don't call the same play more than twice in any one series. If you have a wideout who has caught 10 balls for 200 yards and 3 TDs, bench him and use another wideout. The AI will make it harder and harder for you to get additional completions to that guy. Switch up your running backs. When you bring in fresh legs, you tend to get better numbers.
In general, Madden has gotten to the point that it's hard to "cheat." Madden definitely rewards people who call games as though they were calling games in the real world.

I agree, I think Madden has done a much better job at making the game a little more challenging to call, but I still think that playing on all-madden is terrible. I mean I wish there was a mode between all-madden and all-pro where the play calling is better but you don't see the computer take guys like Justin Fargas and turn him into Barry Sanders.
