JankySpanky80 11-26-2007, 03:53 AM JC just needs to find a way to become clutch. A great game is good but he needs to eliminate the mistakes. The int's and fumbles are killing this season. I'm not sure but i think JC leads the league in fumbles. JC will have next year as well and if it is the same story he will be gone no matter who the coach is. I would hate to see that and i hope everything turns around. This team needs a true franchise QB since there hasn't been one in years. Rypien, Williams, and Schroeder were not franchise QB's. Theisman was the last true QB this team has had and what was that, like twenty some years ago. In the long and short of it, i really like JC and i think everyone on this board likes JC, so lets just grin and bare it for now. It really can't get any worse.

Did you see the game versus LSU his senior season? He's definitely got clutch in him.
BLACKS 11-26-2007, 06:16 AM Campbell looked devastated at the end at least a sign that he cares. Pity the same cannot be said about some of the others. Moss looks and unfit and disinterested, the confidence of Portis is gone. Campbell gets slated. OK he has thrown heartbreaking interceptions in Dallas and Tampa but more or less singlehandedly dragged the offence back into the match. Give the guy a break. Maybe we should be taking a long look at our Head Coach. Gibbs was slaughtered by the British media after the loss over here. Is it time to call it a day, Joe. Oh to have 11 Cooleys on the field!!!

First off, im not the biggest Portis fan in the world, but he showed me a lot today. After the fumbles he came out and ran the shit out of the ball in the second half. What about Campbell throwing the ball out of bounds and yet again showing us that his deep ball needs serious improvement. I honestly dont like Gibbs at the helm of this team, i would like to see him go, however i DO NOT blame him at all for this loss. Tampa Bay is not a horrible team, maybe againsed a weaker team we could have won this game with the show we put on in the second half, but they have some guys in thier secondary that have legit shots at the pro bowl this year. We just dug too big a hole for ourselves.
htownskinfan 11-26-2007, 08:35 AM That's because Warner is playing at home right now. Why would he do a silent snap at home??
LOL who's amazingly wrong??
Not sure what you're watching but it's quite common around the league. It's called a silent snap.
your right,I apologize,I'm going to ban myself for a week for stupidity, but it doesnt change the fact that teams have our silent count down,95 percent of the time as soon as Jason drops his leg the ball is snapped, now i dont know if they are seeing that or picking something else up but they are getting tremendous jumps on the ball
redsk1 11-26-2007, 08:56 AM It's pretty damn stupid to say JC was the sole reason for this loss. Did anyone watch the game? A number of mistakes accounted for today's loss. Did JC have a couple? Yes. Did he have all of them? No.
He's very young and inexperienced as NFL Qb's go. Let's wait a little while before we pass judgement either way. I like the 300 yard game again. I like his poise and leadership. And I like the fact that he is much better than last year. I have a feeling he'll work his butt off in the offseason and come out better than this year.
I think some people think he should just step right in and be the second coming of Joe Montana...Be realistic. Have a little more patience. He is showing some signs of good things.
BringBackJoeT 11-26-2007, 09:08 AM If Jason shoulders the blame, then who is he letting down? His wideouts dropped 4 passes in the first half, the running game is going nowhere, and the blocking is sporadic at best. We're getting no explosive plays, very little run after catch, and no one outside of Campbell making a play. So yeah, lets blame the one guy on the team who has shown some improvement. Or we could look around at the other skill positions and wonder when they're going to start pulling their own weight. I blame Moss, Portis, and Heyer for letting the d-end come around and hit Jason at the top of his five step drop.
Well said (except for singling out Heyer--he deserves a break almost as much as Jason does).
BringBackJoeT 11-26-2007, 09:13 AM Definately a problem, every game, and usually by santana, or randle el, or portis, the guys we should be relying on to get us the wins.
Yup. If the season were to end today, the most memorable image of Santana Moss this season would be the bomb Campbell threw to him in Green Bay that HIT HIM IN HIS DAMN FACE MASK at Green Bay's 10 yard line. It was, of course, shortly thereafter that Moss took himself out of the game. Yeah, a real pro. It's amazing Campbell is actually making progress considering the cast surrounding him.
Skins_FanFL 11-26-2007, 09:29 AM Hopefully the figures line up correctly below. Guess who each group of stat lines belong to?

15 | 226 399 56.6 2579 6.5 11 18
7 | 110 207 53.1 1297 6.3 10 6

Top - Troy Aikman in his first 26 games.
Bottom - JC in his first 18.
Draw your own conclusions. I was going to say the JC is playing like any 2nd year QB. But he is actually playing a little better. His decision-making needs to improve in the red zone; but this can be the fallout of so much being placed on his shoulders.
Soley resoponsible for the loss to the Bucs? No.
Two veterans combining for three lost fumbles. All leading to points, two inside their own 20-yard line. If you're a finger pointing type...
firstdown 11-26-2007, 09:33 AM I do want to say that I don't think he should get a free pass. He made some bad decisions and it's cost him two games. But a lot of young QB's make bad decisions, and most of the time bad decisions by young QB's are death by a thousand papercuts, to the point where your team just flat out gets killed.
Jason's mistakes have cost the team games, but only after his *good* decisions gave the team a chance to win them in the first place.
Good play is just fine if you don't wast it on a couple of bad plays. If a QB throws 10 great passes to lead a team down field then throws a pick on the last play then those 10 other passes were wasted. The problem I see is that he keeps repeating the same mistake and not learing from them.
