Is Anyone Else Getting That '05 Season Vibe?

I'm hopeful for sure, but to say I'm feeling the vibe? Not so much.

I don't think Collins will look anywhere near as good against a defense not from Chicago.

I have to admit that I don't see us winning in New Jersey; however, if we do I will start to believe the playoffs are a realistic hope. I too think the most important thing here is for Campbell to watch Collins run the Saunders offensive at or near its fullness. Things obviously openned up significantly w/ TC in the game and that is probably the most cogent reason to believe we can win the next three games. Teams will not really know what to expect since the only pertinent game tape is from Chicago and Lord knows Saunders/TC have the potential to open things up well beyond that. I'm hoping the offense practices very hard and comes out flying against NY, MN, and Dallas.

Well, if we beat the Giants this coming week, then I might start getting that '05 feeling. However, right now? Well, I just get the feeling that this is a season just to get through in order for us to do better things next year. I hate talking about next year, since that is what we always seem to start talking about year after year, but I get the feeling this team is onto something much better. But, probably not this season.

Drinking too much Kool Aid my friend. It is possible, but unlikely. I think we can handle the Gmen, and I think Dallas will rest their guys probably, but the Vikes are chasing the playoffs just like us and are not as decimated like we are. We had a healthy team in '05 with a killer D, our D is a sieve as of late. Anything is possible, but I don't get the '05 feel here. Also, we have a crappy record against the Gmen in Gibbs II, even if we have the better personnel. My bet is NY will solidify their wildcard spot against us next Sunday night. Although usually not in a pretty fashion, they get the job done, meaning pulling out the W in the end. Something we need to learn how to do.

No, just means we can't put a team away. You can explain this season away with A. Ungodly injuries/tragedies and B. poor execution at critical junctures in a game.

Um, no, not feeling the '05 vibe at all. Considering all of the miserable things that have happened to the 'Skins this year, all I can hope for is just another win, maybe two if we're really, really lucky. In what seems like my wish after every season for say, oh, the last 15 years, I wish that black cloud blows the hell outta here and good things start coming our way for once. Dear God, have we not hit rock bottom finally?

What the hell is up with all the negativity about the rest of the season?!? Now I'm starting to get depressed and I'm not ready too.

Come on ladies and gentleman let's stand behind this team. We have a realistic shot to make a run at the playoffs this year. 3 games...that's it...win three damn games. We act like it's impossible to win three straight games. We control our destiny. Win and in. It's that simple. I'm a believer. Go ahead call it drinking the Kool-Aid or whatever. Well guess what...I'll chug the damn Kool-Aid if it will get this team in the playoffs. On any given day we can compete with any team in the NFL. We've proven all year we can compete. Let's stop acting like we don't belong in the NFL Playoff hunt. Let's go out and prove we do. We have to play to win and not to play not to lose. Playing not to lose is the mentality of this year's team. That's why we have blown so many 2nd half leads this year. That's gotta change and it starts this week.

Let's string three wins together and get into the dance! The 6th seed is ours if we want it. Tee it up, bunkle that chin strap and let's go get it! I'm ready to roll! I've got playoff fever!
