Ah, lame. Stupid Saints need to lose too. They deserve a playoff nod even less than we do.Worry not. The Saints would be lucky as hell to do any better than 2-2 here on out. They are really, really bad.

Arizona has a soft schedule that includes the Saints...we have them if we win out, but if we don't win out, then I don't know. They could win their final three really easily.

I still think 8-8 gets us in, provided we beat the Vikings.

What about when the skins lose sunday night, what scenarios need to play out for the skins to get in?Beat Minn and Dallas, get two losses from the Saints, an additional loss from the Vikings, and another loss from both the Cards and the Lions

Or, we can kick your ass with our backup QB, watch you guys implode over the final two weeks, and miss the playoffs.

That should be entertaining.

Gotta like our chances, even w/TC at the healm for his 1st start this century. Look at what's in our favor:

G-men: we face them after a 10 day break between games, almost a bye week.

Vikes: They play next monday night v.Bears, so they have a short week before we come to town.

cowpokes: Since they squeezed by Detroit, they really would have to blow it not to have home field locked by Dec. 30 when they come to fedex (it would be sweetest if we got in the playoffs & knocked them out of home field, but they'd have to lose 2 of 3 & GB win out for that to happen).

No i don't get the 05 vibe. Two reasons:

We can't run the ball...at all.

Our D is pretty good but not 05 dominant.

That being said...who knows..gotta play em out. We do have Todd Collins though.

Well, I don't see how that could happen. You guys have the "Shittiest Team in World" and will be "Kicked out of NFL forever" next year! ;)

Ha ha, j/k. Good luck Sunday!

They do! But even the blind squirrel finds a nut on occassion. The Giants were that blind squirrel 9 times this year, fortunately it was during a 13-week span!!!

My only question is, who is our first round opponent?

one can hope... but prolly not. besides, the Packers and Pukes are just a level above any team in the NFC this season anyway.

We hung with the Packers and the Pukes and should've beaten both of them.

i do only problem is we had portis healthy and running hard, a quarteback we believed in and sean taylor..so minus a running game a injured starting qb and no ST you tell me how excited we should be

I've debated even replying in this thread for the sheer fact that there is a huge mountain in front of the Redskins right now.

Between injuries, Sean Taylor, lost run game, and lack of execution, it's really hard to get the 2005 vibe, especially after losing to the Bills. That was the 5th time this year the Skins found a way to lose after having the lead going into the 4th.

And while the Skins are not mathematically eliminated yet, but it's hard to see exactly how things will turn out when they play what will most likely be the 1, 5 and 6 seeds in the playoffs.

Granted, they have a bit of momentum going now after beating the Bears, but I just cannot see it carrying the Redskins into the playoffs.

For shits and giggles, let's say they do win out and make it as the 6 seed by virtue of Vikings and Saints collapses. Their first round opponent: Seattle. A Seattle team who are 6-1 at home so far, have won 5 straight, and have a fairly easy 3 game schedule (at Carolina, Baltimore, and at Atlanta) going into the postseason. So now, you've got the Skins facing 4 opponents in a row over .500. At some point, the season will catch up to the Redskins...

think of it like this, if Collins can lead us to a win, revive this thread next week.
