There is no tampering with Mooch's contract with the NFL Network, I just think Mooch wants to fullfill his contract with them before he becomes a head coach. All he has to do is wait until after Sunday and he is finished with them. I bet he enjoys what he is doing with the NFL Network, and then he can offically step away and become the coach of the Skins, if that is what is happening.
That and the fact the Lions are still paying him thru this season (which presumably ends after the Super Bowl) as long as he's not working for another team. He probably wants to squeeze every last dime from them. Can you blame him?

Wouldn't payment end at the end of the season? With playoffs being another deal? Who knows why something hasn't happened yet, maybe because Dan wants the Skins somewhere in the headlines during SB week.

Whoo-hoo! I get to add something to the mix. PFT rumor says this (http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm):

NO MOOCH IN D.C.?
A source with knowledge of the dynamics in the Washington front office firmly believes that former San Francisco and Detroit head coach Steve Mariucci won't be the next coach of the Redskins.
Though both Mariucci and 'Skins executive V.P. of football operations Vinny Cerrato worked together in San Fran, Mariucci was hired by former Niners owner Eddie DeBartolo and front-office exec Carmen Policy. "Mooch was never a Vinny guy," the source said.
Mariucci has been linked to the job via informed speculation from Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post. "
Regardless of what happens with Mariucci I think Snyder still wants to interview McDaniels and Spagnuolo after the SB.

Well, there's your problem!
It's PFT!
JLC and Bram Weinstein both rumoring at the same time?
Where there is smoke, there is probably some fire.
And, now JLC adds an addendum to his post to further the intrigue!

So who do you trust to be more accurate, JLC and Bram who are probably pretty close to the situation, or some unnamed guy from PFT?

I agree. I mean seriously who would you feel more comfortable with as your head coach.
