I think the real problem is that the Redskins knew of his problems but they thought they could change him. They were like that girl with the jerk boyfriend "I know he's an ass, but I love him and I can change him!!"
You must be referring to YOUR girlfriend, right? ;)

What's amazing to me is that in 2 years, he made $11 million and had a whopping 23 catches to show for it. In other words, about $500,000 per catch.

I just went back to look at who was available in the 2006 draft, just for kicks, and you want to see a real kick in the groin? Check this out:
119Denver (from Washington)Brandon Marshall (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Marshall)Wide receiverUCF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Central_Florida)
So Denver got Brandon Marshall with one of our picks. You know, the same Brandon Marshall that had 102 receptions for 1,325 yards and 7 tds last year. That 6-4 230 lbs. guy who is the reason the Broncos can trade Javon Walker without giving it a second thought. Another thing to keep in mind when we start getting too cavalier about trading away picks ....
YouTube - Brandon Marshall highlights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jcMZirTPaI)To be fair, I believe that pick was sent to Denver in the deal that brought us the pick that we used on Campbell the year before.

Of course :)
Don't forget Saunders. He was very high on this move.
I almost think that Gibbs let Saunders call that shot.

It probably shouldn't have been that tough of a call... his work ethic was pretty much a joke.
I just wish Grim21Reaper could come back and apologize to Rexi...
I'm not being a homer. Have I said, THE REDSKINS SUK THE 49ERS R 4 REALZ! No. You guys have a great thing going over there, Randle El and Moss are both good receivers. The Redskins are a lot better than the 49ers are right now. I am just saying that trading for Lloyd was a really bad move. He isn't a physical threat, he won't break tackles or fight for yards. He will just make a circus catch and jump on the ground. Also he runs poor routes and makes too many mental mistakes.
well damn.

I dont think Gibbs let Saunders call any shots.
All I know is Saunders was reportedly hot on Lloyd so it wouldn't shock me if Gibbs deferred to him on that decision. Especially since there were several folks in the front office strongly opposed to acquiring him.

OMFG! We did not cut Brandon Lloyd! He was our best reciever! I mean, the guy is the best wideout this league has seen in 20 years! HAHAHAHA.......
I saw a video a while back of B. Lloyd in SF alligator arming a pass over the middle that he was wide open for. I wanna see that again so bad. As soon as I saw it I said, "Yep, better get used to that."
Interesting fact: Lloyd has averaged 1.5 yds per game since he's been here. What production! How much did he get paid? Lol.....I thank god he's gone. Maybe he'll go to Baltimore and wreck they're shit up a little....
