I had an 03 g35 sedan that was black with black interior. I blacked out the windows, and put clear marker lights on it (because the amber ones were very noticable) and put a small deck spoiler on the back to really set the car off... It looked really nice.... go for it.

The only other suggestion I have for your car:

Tint the taillights. Spray-on tint called Nightshades is sold online and in most speed shops. Do 2-3 light coats, then clearcoat it so they'll last forever.

The chrome tails on the Fusion are about the only part of the car I don't like. They just clash, especially on a black car. Plus, they look like they belong on a Civic with a giant airplane wing and fart cannon. ;)

Oh, and the light shines through fine with the tinted tails. You shouldn't have any legal problems as long as you don't go too black and the car will look amazing all blacked out.

I've always wanted to see a fully blacked-out Fusion including windows, taillights and the chrome grilles painted black or maybe even tinted to a black chrome with that spray.

YUMMY.

Summit Racing is a GREAT place to buy car stuff, they have the best customer service and low prices.

The blacked out tail lights look pretty hot

They'd look even better on a black car. I just hate how the chrome lights look on the black cars.

Like others have stated, check to see what the NY vehicle safety inspection
laws are. In VA you can change lamps, but they must be of an approved type. Tinting is regulated, unless have a medical waiver. If you do tint in VA it must be of an approved type.

Congrats on the Fusion, a great car.

Got my new car on Friday and so far I'm really impressed. The ride is nice and smooth and very quiet. The interior is huge, I can't get over the room. Of course you're talking about someone who's had nothing but compacts for the last 10 years or so. I'm calling around to get estimates for the window tinting, I'll probably get it done next week. Here's a few pics

I think it looks sharp! I like the spoiler on the back. Did you get Nav?

I've already got a TomTom so I didn't go for the nav.

Along with the spoiler I have a moon roof, premium audio system, and Sirius radio.
