I sell the entire package at face value and have never had any trouble finding someone to buy them.If you try that on a site like StubHub and the team somehow finds out they'll revoke them from you anyway.

But never forget the joy of watching the 'Skin beat the cowpukes live...that truly is priceless. FRPLG 03-25-2008, 11:25 AM Yeah you are right. After I watch it on HD I go and sit in my car for three hours afterwards, that way I get the full experience. Hahaha. Very true. FRPLG 03-25-2008, 11:25 AM If you try that on a site like StubHub and the team somehow finds out they'll revoke them from you anyway. Thats why I don't. sbaughone 03-25-2008, 11:30 AM <<If you try that on a site like StubHub and the team somehow finds out they'll revoke them from you anyway.>> They should. StubHub is how 25,000 beagle fans get tickets to the game. If you're a Skins fan and you buy the tickets, you should go to the game. Selling them on stubhub is only aiding and abetting the enemy. Stacks42 03-25-2008, 11:30 AM Well I only got my season tickets last year and I have decided not renew them unless someone can talk me into keeping them. My thinking is that I only go to a few games each year and it would be cheaper and much easier than haviing to sell my other tickets to just buy ones for a few games. I have four and have to buy 8 preseason tickets at $65.00 which is $520 which is a wasted because I don't go to those and could not sell them. If I add that to the games I attend at a cost of about the same $520 that gives me around a thousand dollars to spend for tickets without any hassel of selling tickets. You also have other cost and taxes which would bring that figure to around $1,200. So if I wanted to go to two games a year and its just me an the wife I would have $300 per ticket to spend and could get much better seating than section 428. So what do youu guys think? I feel you brother. I have season tickets, upperlevel (nosebleed), the skins wont let me move any closer to the action unless i buy club level, which is something like $3,800/seat. I ended up buying end zone seats from a friend and im trying to sell off my upperlevel seats while still keeping them in my name, I waited 18yrs on the season ticket waiting list. Im not giving them up now. firstdown 03-25-2008, 12:07 PM I feel you brother. Im not giving them up now. I know what you mean by the long wait for the tickets but just keeping them to have them is just not making any sense at this time. I can still pick the games I want to go to and get better seats and still come out cheaper. If you call the Redskins front office after March 31 they should give you some choices for better tickets in the upper level. You need to call and if someone did not renew their tickets and have better seats in the upper level they use to allow current ticket holders to move their seating. You have to call and ask or they will just offer them to the next person on the waiting list. squrrelco3 03-25-2008, 12:13 PM I signed up in 2004 just after Joe Gibbs came back for the season ticket waiting list, I got my letter last fall. I knew I was going to get upper level so I went to a game just to see what my seats would be like...decided not to take the offer...seats are just too damn high and I hate heights...would rather pay $200 for a lower level seat to one game (which would probably be about all I would be able to make it to anyway) on Stub Hub than $1000 for two seats I would probably never use and would then have to deal with the hassle of trying to sell each game. jsarno 03-25-2008, 12:29 PM If you try that on a site like StubHub and the team somehow finds out they'll revoke them from you anyway. Is that really true? I have never heard of this before. My uncle handed down Red Sox season tickets to me, and when I left Boston, I handed them down to my brother. He goes to about 15-20 games a year and sells the rest on stub hub...been doing it for years. No one has ever said that he couldn't or they would be revoked. They are his to do with as he pleases. I'd go through stub hub...if it is true that they could be revoked, so what...you were already thinking of cancelling them anyway. firstdown 03-25-2008, 12:49 PM Is that really true? Yes it does happen to people that sell all of their tickets every year and do not attend the games. Not sure how close it is monitored but I have read about people having their season tickets revoked. I remeber one where the tickets had been in the family for year but they never went to any games so the Skins revoked like 8 season tickets. You can pass the season tickets down to family members but I think you pay like $125 for them to process the name change. Thats one of the reason that you see so many non Reskins fans at the game because allot of people scalp all of their tickets every year. |
