I seriously dont understand wtf is the point with all of this. Why doesn't he admit he made a mistake and he needs to work on it?

Was anyone else taken aback by his grammar and overall attitude. Anyone who does not have the common sense to project themselves as a competent and mature individual this close to the draft is not someone I would want on my team (if I was a GM or HC).

He's worried about how running on a slow surface if going to affect his life....how about dropping the double negatives and growing up a bit?

He and Vinny fell for each other, you see, and Kelly really wants to be here, so they devised this ingenious plan to scare off any other suitors so we could nab him in the 2nd round. Vinny promises to pay him like a round 1 draft pick still. The whole thing is really quite brilliant if you ask me.

I hope his stock has dropped. The same goes for Calais Campbell. It'd be a great draft "on paper" if we could draft one of these guys on day 2 to go with a first day Kenny Phillips, Brandon Albert, or [insert you favorite pick here].

I don't see why people are shying away from Kelly all of a sudden. If anything this outburst shows that Kelly will become an EXCELLENT NFL reciever. Tall-Check, Slow like Anquan Boldin-Check, Whines like a premadonna-check.

Don't worry Smootsmack I'll keep my fingers crossed on this one.

Kelly gets second chance to run

Story Highlights
Oklahoma WR unofficially improved 40 time by .22 seconds
Receiver originally blasted alma mater for poor running surface
49ers, Cowboys, Redskins set to meet with Kelly soonOKLAHOMA CITY (AP)Last week after loudly complaining about the surface he was forced to run on in front of NFL scouts, former Oklahoma receiver Malcolm Kelly got his second chance Wednesday.

His agent said he bettered his time in the 40-yard dash by more than two-tenths of a second in the workout at the University of Oklahoma. But a news release from OU with numbers compiled from NFL scouts indicated the improvement was only slight.

His agent, Chad Speck, said Kelly ran the 40 as fast as 4.46 Wednesday after running a 4.68 on OU's pro day one week ago. But the numbers from the NFL scouts showed Kelly ran the 40 in 4.69 and 4.63, according to a release from OU spokesman Kenny Mossman.

Speck said the scouts may have added time to his results to reflect the faster surface he was on Wednesday.
"There's nothing that we can do about, if a team decides to adjust it," Speck said.

"He ran much faster today."

Kelly complained after the workout last week that he had expected to run on the AstroTurf inside Oklahoma's indoor track facility, but was forced instead to run on a softer surface, resulting in the slower time. He has since apologized and thanked OU for setting up the latest workout.

Kelly said the workout went well.

"Like I said, last week I made a lot of immature decisions going off like that," who complained that the slow time would cost him money, a red flag for NFL teams.

He said he spoke with OU coach Bob Stoops for more than an hour and there are no hard feelings.

"He told me I never game him any trouble. He just said there's no bad blood between us."

Speck dismissed speculation that Kelly's outburst about the first workout would cause his draft stock to fall. Kelly left after the workout for Washington, D.C., to meet with the Washington Redskins (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/redskins), followed by a meeting Thursday with the Dallas Cowboys (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/cowboys), then with the San Francisco 49ers Friday.

Seriously this is getting pretty ridiculous.

But maybe it's for the best... I'd love to steal him in the 2nd round.

"This is my life. You know what I'm saying? This ain't no school. This ain't no classroom. This ain't got nothing to do with that," Kelly said. "This has to do with me; my family. This is what I do. I play football. And I'm supposed to come out here and run as fast as I can."

Just because of that quote right there I dont want to draft him. Look at his english.Disgraceful. Damn Canadian
