Hamas endorses Obama

They know what they'll get from Hillary and they know what they'll get from McCain so is it any surprise that he gives them hope?

Come on. It's not like Obama is saying, "we need to surrender to the terrorists." He's not some terrorist sympathizer or wussie just because he doesn't talk like G.W.B. and label people as either "evildoers" or friends. Moreover, I don't think the Bush-supporting Repubs have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to foreign policy.

Hamas are a bunch of morons. They're endorsing Obama because of the three candidates, he's the one they believe will let them get away with more crap. They wouldn't necessarily be correct in thinking that - I see no reason to believe Obama won't take a hard line against terrorists. He may pull out of Iraq, but that's entirely different from how he'd handle a group like Hamas.

None of the three candidates are likely to recognize Hamas or negotiate with them. The only difference between the three candidates is that McCain is willing to be openly hostile with them.

I can't possibly imagine better foreign policy than that. To me, foreign policy does not need to be defined by doing what's in the best interest of making peace. It's doing what's in the best interests of the United States, even if it doesn't earn you friends. Fuck Hamas, they can all die.

But I think, on some level, it's interesting how others (abroad) inject themselves into our(domestic) political process. It seems like the word "endorse" has almost become trendy of late, and analogous to "we share the same ideologies and concerns; we're on the same side."

I wonder if it's a by product of our media driven culture.

The folks up in Berkley support Obama too.;)
