Yeah. Again, I think it's important to note that a few players can really throw the curve. I'm not sure how meaningful those numbers are. Some of the youngest teams are some of the worst teams. But, it is what it is.

Again, I'll search for the link.

The point is why are we talking about guys who aren't even going to be on the team?

What I meant by 'what is your point' is that it is trivial that I included a couple of guys (non-starters) that are no longer on the team.We are still an older team.
Our FO is willing to send two high and potentially valuable draft picks for a 30 year old WR.
We have tried picking up a lot of veterans in the Snyderatto era, Jeff George, Bruce Smith, Mark Carrier, Dana Stubblefield, Adam Archuleta to name just a few. How about trying something different and hanging on to all our picks and maybe drafting a DL in the first round for the first time in 11 years. No hard feelings.

Stubby was signed on John Kent Cooke's watch. Trivial I know but let's keep the facts straight.

I like your reasoning and posts on this thread.
I feel the same way, DL, OL, CB, S and LB are all much more pressing than WR.
We are getting old quickly at some of these positions and some we have very little quality depth.

Pete Kendall is 34 and injury prone
Phillip Daniels is 35 and injury prone
Randy Thomas is 32 and injury prone
Shawn Springs is 33 and injury prone
John Jansen is 32 and injury prone
Randall Godfrey is 35
Jason Fabini is 33
Casey Rabach is 30
Chris Samuels is 30
London Fletcher is 32
Mike Sellers is 32
Marcus Washington is 30
Pierson Prioleau is 30
David Macklin is 30

We are the over the hill gang again.

i dont think macklin is on the team anymore and how is kendall injury prone, priloeau is a backup that hasnt signed back with us. Fabini and Godfrey dont start so I dont see where you are going with this.

Kendall has arthritic knees while Fabini and Godfrey are in their '30s. We have an aging team in desperate need of youth. Thus, we need to keep our draft picks to address that lack of youth at key spots.

Wow. Those figures scream out for an infusion of youth especially at O-line. Sooner or later the front five will start dropping like flies. Well ... that actually already happened last season for a stretch. We have to start bolstering a restocking for the future. And we have to start now.
