I wouldn't get too worked up over back-up depth positions. I think players like WR Kelly and DE James are further back b/c of injuries right now. I wouldn't read much into it.

I think the the three observations I had were:

1) Jason Taylor at RDE. Surprising b/c it conflicts with initial reports.
2) Our LB depth is for shit, especially with the training camp injuries. I would be SHOCKED if we didn't pick up a veteran backup once roster cuts begin.
3) I still think about how much better our defense would look with Sean Taylor lined up in the first team. He is missed for sure. Same goes for THE ADE ;)

If you look at the bottom of the page it says that it is an unofficial depth chart. I wouldn't put too much credence into this depth chart as it seems that the coaches didn't release this. It's just based off of the lineups in training camp.

This lineup won't stay the same come September.

Yeah good point. I remember last year right up until opening day they had Golston listed as the starter ahead of Montgomery and we know how that worked out.

"If you are doubting Blades abilities I think you need to watch him more closely. He is a solid tackler and shows a great upside."

I wasn't doubting his abilities, I sincerely believe that him and rocky are going to be a dynamic duo in the next few seasons. However, he is still pretty young and missing training camp isn't good news...Plus, Fletch is awesome, but he is pushing 34 and injury concerns are always there considering the position he plays and a reliable backup is necessary. So, my concern was that I hope there is some one besides Blades to provide some depth at that position.

True that. i am glad to see a fellow Salisbury Seagull on the chart though (Byron Westbrook) has anyone seen him in training camp? What are the odds he stays on the active roster the whole season?

everyone needs to calm down. this list actually means zero. we are barely into training camp. let the position battles begin

My sentiments exactly. This thing will change several times before Week 1 vs. Giants...

However, I'm sick of them switching Albright's jersey number. I can't afford getting a new jersey every year. The Skins should just petition the NFL to let him wear #EA...

Glad to see fellow Terp Andrew Crummey as a backup center. Crummey is a very talented lineman who fell off the draft boards b/c of his injury. I hope he remains in the team as Rabach's backup and future center. Hopefully in the future we'll have Heyer, Rinehart, and Crummey as starters.

Agreed. I think we may have gotten a steal with Crummey. After watching him the last couple years in College Park, I can tell you he the type of guy that Buges loves to have on the line. He's smart and he's nasty.
