Brennan throws like my main man from back in the day, Bernie Kosar.

Thank god he moves faster than Bernie. You've could timed his 40 with a sundial.

I'm not debating whether Colt should be the #2 lol. I was just pointing out the inaccuracy of saying Collins has to be the #2 quarterback because he got a nice contract in the offseason.

Furthermore, I highly doubt Brennan ascends beyond the #3 spot this offseason. People are getting hyped up because he had a nice performance in his first game, when we all know what the reality of the situation was. Collins has experience over Brennan and I doubt he would play horribly enough to lose the #2 spot. Like many have pointed out Brennan has a long ways to go before he can even be called a good #2.

I agree. The best player wins the position right? Tell that to GB! Hahah....I think Collins is better as a system QB and he's really not mobile enough to effectively run this offense as well as he ran AS scheme.

Maybe he shoulda gone with Al.......

Gotta be happy w/Colt, of course you can't make too much of it. I like that Madden said he could "feel energy" from him.

Did anyone think he looked a little like Heath Shuler in uniform? wearing #5 too

Haha...I was thinking that too. At first I thought maybe the 5 would just be a mark of death. lol

Jason Campbell looked sharp!

That's a key point that's getting lost in all of this Colt hype.

JC is the guy we should be concerned about. Not the #3 QB.

JC was sharp and seemed to have a good grasp of the offense, granted we didn't get to see much of him but what we saw was impressive.

Good quote from Zorn on Colt:

"He has to become a more disciplined quarterback, and not risk as much as he risked in the game," Zorn said, while praising Brennan's exuberance and flair.

He definitely made some throws last night that made me say "Wow, can't believe he even attempted that". I like the gunslinger mentality but some of those were throws that will get you benched really quick in the NFL against top competition.

I have to agree with that.

Brennan did make some phenomenal passes at Hawaii and he did make some plays which won games.

He admitted that he got lucky a couple of times last night, particularly on that throw over the middle which could have been picked. I'm sure Zorn told him he was lucky and he admitted it.

What I do like about Brennan is that he will try to learn and he will learn to be more disciplined. If he can learn and work with Zorn, he could be a great pickup.

I know from experience that he is a great leader to have on a team with the game on the line.

But, he is going to have to learn that, in the NFL, the game might be on the line earlier than you think. In some contests, the game is on the line just about every series. One major mistake and you are cooked.

He'll learn that, hopefully not the hard way.

He hates to lose, so that is a good thing anyway.

Please help an old guy out... what does 1337 mean?

"Initially, the word leet (aka 1337) was used as an adjective (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adjective), to primarily describe the behavior or accomplishments of others in the community. In that usage Leet generally carries the same meaning when referring to either the game prowess (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_game) or, in original usage, hacking expertise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hacker_%28computing%29) of another person. "

Leet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet)

Basically in layman terms it means elite. Though it's pronounced as 'leet.' I didn't understand it the first time I heard it either. The 1337 comes from a code where numbers are associated with letters.

Also for those that don't know this thread is a combination of preventing someone from starting a seriously leading Colt thread (like 'Colt isn't that good' or 'Colt should start') as well as a sort of inside joke inspired by the "Todd Collins is 1337 thread." If you guys noticed I copied the thread pretty much word for word with the exception of replacing Todd Collins name with Colt Brennans.
