I don't think anyone is doubting that, but some people are ready to annoint him the starting QB (which is ridiculous). I think Brennan is a good asset that this team has, and he'll develop into a solid backup. But it's going to be a while before Brennan sees any action as a starter. If he does play as a starter this season, then I think it is not going to be a good situation for our team.

lol i didnt know who these people were or why this thread was started till i ventured over to extremeskins. man we got a great qb situation.

1 - entrenched started coming into his prime (albeit with multiple off cord)
2 - proven veteran who just so happened to win 4 straight games last year to take us to the playoffs.
3 - a late round talented but raw rookie who can hopefully take over the number 2 spot in a year or two.

i feel sorry for teams like the bears, dolphins, texans, vikings, eagles (mcnabb has a year left), tampa bay (garcia 1 year left in tank), who are struggling or going to struggle finding a nfl capable quarterback.

go skins!

If you have to ask then you should not be playing on a computer.

I think if you know it you might be spending to much time playing on a computer.

Thank you GhettoDog for the link.

The Texans are leading the NFL in overall passer rating at 126.7. So if you thought Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfels had been really good, you were right. Schaub's 141.3 passer rating is second-best among NFL quarterbacks that have thrown at least 20 passes in the preseason. Only Redskins rookie Colt Brennan (141.3) is higher. Schaub's completion percentage of 85.7 is tops among QBs with at least 20 passes.

Just an interesting article I thought you CB lovers might enjoy. And because as said before this thread just won't die.

SportsJustice: Texans leading the NFL in QB rating. VY? Don't ask. (http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2008/08/steve_slaton_ha.html)

I looked at that again and it's really just a blog, but still pretty cool that Colts ratings are that high

even Jason Campbell had to be a 3rd stringer for a year and he was a 1st round draft pick... Seriously guys, Colt has a few years to go before he's even a Solid back-up.

If he even becomes a solid back-up, we would be gettin tremendous worth for our picks.

Hell, we drafted Sagve Rosenfels and if we would have held onto him we could have at gotten a 2nd or 3rd round picks for him.. Regardless, Colt is not ready this year.

I'm glad quite a few people are changing opinions regarding Colt. I'm no NFL coach, so I cannot say where he should be on the QB totem pole, but its so much better to hear good reviews rather than previous BS reviews (pre-draft day).
Question to all: before draft day, I'm sure all of you heard the bad reviews on Colt Brennan. (WAC Conference, weak opposition, run n shoot, weak arm, etc.)
Based on his pre season performances, IS Colt what the Redskin fans expected?
