I don't know how many of you are talk-radio junkies, but here's a common refrain:

When a democrat changes his mind, he's a flip-flopper. If a republican changes his mind, then it's a careful reassessment of the facts due to changing circumstances and evidence.

For the record, I'm not for either. With the two major parties, we have a choice between perpetual war or socialism.

Just curious, why do you feel or think that Obama is a socialist or is for socialism. And do you think this is specific to Obama and his plan for the country this year or do you acribe this philosophy to Dems in general.

Here is some of his lies that a site reported. (not that I believe all of them, but they can't all be untrue)

:blah::blah::blah:

Why post that crap if you know most of it is untrue?
If you really need to post it, Take the time to read through it and only post what you feel is a valid point and back it up for sake of discussion.

Jsarno, that stuff is not true. I'm not going to go line by line and I hope no one else does, but here's an example. Obama is called a liar for referring to himself as a professor as opposed to a lecturer, which your author claims he actually was. However, according to the University of Chicago: The Law School has received many media requests about Barack Obama, especially about his status as "Senior Lecturer." From 1992 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004, Barack Obama served as a professor in the Law School. He was a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996. He was a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004, during which time he taught three courses per year. Senior Lecturers are considered to be members of the Law School faculty and are regarded as professors, although not full-time or tenure-track. The title of Senior Lecturer is distinct from the title of Lecturer, which signifies adjunct status. Like Obama, each of the Law School's Senior Lecturers have high-demand careers in politics or public service, which prevent full-time teaching. Several times during his 12 years as a professor in the Law School, Obama was invited to join the faculty in a full-time tenure-track position, but he declined. (FactCheck.org: Was Barack Obama really a constitutional law professor? (http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/was_barack_obama_really_a_constitutional_law.html) )

Straight from the horse's mouth, but you are dealing with people who don't check facts that might get in the way of their arguments.

I just want to say that this is an important election between two distinct candidates with differing views for America, and it's a shame to see it once again digressing to the level of character assassination, and that goes for people on both sides (in fact, the previous accusation against Obama was first advanced by the Clinton camp). Instead of debating the issues we have to argue over whether or not Obama is secretly a Muslim. Still, doesn't say much for our people that these types of exaggerations and fabrications continue to be so successful.

Hmmm, interesting that the one you try to refute is a case of samantics.

Matty, it doesn't matter where truths comes from, you can't dispute things just cause you don't like the site. If it's wrong, prove it wrong...no matter what the source.

I'm sure you wouldn't like it if you posted a truth, then someone said, "well, it's just from a Redskins website that isn't even affiliated with the Redskins". That doesn't make it any less true.

When did I say "most of it is untrue?"

LOL.
With all the democratic propaganda out there this is only a miniscule comment.

ps- it's not really propaganda when it's true. Judging by the MASSIVE amount of Democrats on this website, you would think there would be SEVERAL links to those comments being untrue. Low and behold, the only comment made is actually nothing special, and a case of samantics. He actually was not a "professor", that is not an untruth. I think that speaks volumes to the actual post.

Behold, McCain's Issue Oriented Flippidy Flipflop Full of Filip Flops List (http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/flipflops)™.

Ummm, I'm failing to see what this has to do with Obama...or Obama's speech, or even the list of Obama untruths?

If you're going to start an Obama thread, I figured it would be about Obama, so feel free to start a McCain thread.

There is no such word as samantics in the English language. Your author accused Obama of lying about something which he in fact did not lie about. As someone who comes from an academic family I can tell you that the difference between professor and adjunct at a university is significant, as is lying about one’s status.

But the point is that you are quoting someone who starts with the premise they want - Obama is a lying traitor - and then works backwards, nitpicking and distorting facts to suit their point. People have done this for a long time on both sides, but the disturbing thing is that knucklehead know-nothings get these emails and believe this tripe. Seriously, Obama’s grandmother is not a Christian as he claims? HE HAS TWO GRANDMOTHERS! We are talking pre-school logic here.

Is it a coincidence that at least the last 3 Democratic nominees have happened to be lying traitors? Maybe Democrats are the lying traitorous party. Or do you see a smear pattern emerging, one that disgustingly has won elections? Do you still think Kerry lied about his service in Vietnam?

Debate the issues. Debate Obama's tax plan or Iran policy. I loved that Obama punched back in his speech and said you won’t smear my love for my country. Do your part by not spreading garbage lies that obfuscate the important issues at hand.

And here's your refutation. 50 Truths about Barack Obama (http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddzvw4c7_137cbhvxhcn)
