And here's your refutation. 50 Truths about Barack Obama (http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddzvw4c7_137cbhvxhcn)

Too many people are willing to believe BS "facts" because they want to believe them.

There is no such word as samantics in the English language. Your author accused Obama of lying about something which he in fact did not lie about. As someone who comes from an academic family I can tell you that the difference between professor and adjunct at a university is significant, as is lying about one’s status.

But the point is that you are quoting someone who starts with the premise they want - Obama is a lying traitor - and then works backwards, nitpicking and distorting facts to suit their point. People have done this for a long time on both sides, but the disturbing thing is that knucklehead no-nothings get these emails and believe this tripe. Seriously, Obama’s grandmother is not a Christian as he claims? HE HAS TWO GRANDMOTHERS! We are talking pre-school logic here.

Is it a coincidence that at least the last 3 Democratic nominees have happened to be lying traitors? Maybe Democrats are the lying traitorous party. Or do you see a smear pattern emerging, one that disgustingly has won elections? Do you still think Kerry lied about his service in Vietnam?

Debate the issues. Debate Obama's tax plan or Iran policy. I loved that Obama punched back in his speech and said you won’t smear my love for my country. Do your part by not spreading garbage lies that obfuscate the important issues at hand.

Hmmm, interesting that the one you try to refute is a case of samantics.

Matty, it doesn't matter where truths comes from, you can't dispute things just cause you don't like the site. If it's wrong, prove it wrong...no matter what the source.

I'm sure you wouldn't like it if you posted a truth, then someone said, "well, it's just from a Redskins website that isn't even affiliated with the Redskins". That doesn't make it any less true.

Are you 110% sure those are "truths"?

So you're saying the source is not important?

I'm just wondering what you've done to prove those facts to be 100% accurate before you decided to spread them around and pass them off as "fact"... or are you taking them for face value based on the source? If you are trusting the source... the source must be important.

Ummm, I'm failing to see what this has to do with Obama...or Obama's speech, or even the list of Obama untruths?

If you're going to start an Obama thread, I figured it would be about Obama, so feel free to start a McCain thread.

Thread title says Obama's speech, I failed to see how your post is more relevant to Obama's speech than mine.
