Does anyone have any answers? I would love to know the reasoning behind this. Please help me I am extremely puzzled. Because I think his roster spot could have been used to keep someone more deserving. He played horrible all preseason. So my question is again. What is the reasoning behind keeping Tryon? Please chime in....

Ask Vinny I'm sure he can tell you why....it might have something to do with they wasted a draft pick on this turd. Or, they think they can make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
Who knows a NFL roster is in constant influx just because hes here today doesn't mean or guarantee anything about tomorrow. I'm sure most did not expect him to make the roster and if someone of interest comes available he would probably be the first out the door.
Obviously they think he's got talent.

While I definitely agree that his roster spot could go to someone more deserving, there are certainly reasons for keeping him on board. Like many people have already said in other threads, the cornerback position takes a very long time to go from rookie to stud. I think Zorn and Vinnie and whomever knows that Tyron isn't going to be helping this team anytime soon, but just like Carlos (who was a much higher pick) it may take a few years before he really comes into his own. So really, it's more of an investment in the future than anything if you ask me. They probably see some things in him that are promising and believe they can work out his rookie mistakes in the meantime.
Is it the right thing to do? Who knows. But you asked why so..

I say upgrade him with Deltha O'Neal and send him to the PS. What's so hard about this move?

I think D. Green was in Dan's ear saying that this guy could be his second coming.

i think they knew he was raw coming out of college and think he has some potential to be decent down the line

Too late, the Pats sign O'Neal. Smart on their part. The only other guy out there would Forney G to replace Fabini and we would have a very solid OL.

Maybe so. But this preseason he got burned for some many TDs and catches it was ridiculous. He showed nothing. If he has showed some talent. I would be ok with it. But he showed that he may be a bust. Other undrafted free agents showed they could play. Sometimes you are wrong in your evaluation of players. This is definitely one of those times. He didn't even get a good evaulation coming out of college. If I wanted to work with someone to develop it wouldn't be him. I would have gotten someoen with size and speed..but he has neither..a little closing speed. But that's not good when you closing in after someone has already caught a touchdown or first down. DVRs are the ish. I saw this dude get burned like for 2 TD last game and for I dont know how many first downs and Doughtys int saved him from getting burned for another TD..and that's just one game..Preseason or not..He sucks
