DynamiteRave 09-19-2008, 10:39 PM It looks like another case where someone wasn't taught the right thing to do from an early age. This guy is a piece of sub-human excrement.
I wonder if this is really the way a vast amount of Obama supporters feel? If so, I'm sorry that they feel that way.
How is that even an issue? All of a sudden no hand over heart/bitching about being black in America = Obama Supporter.
Come on now. I know you're smarter than that.
DynamiteRave 09-19-2008, 10:41 PM If anything, the Black people I know that feel the way Josh Howard does, don't vote at all.

I think he's replying to the part of the video where someone off camera says "Obama '08" and then Howard says "Obama and all that shit!"

Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't watch the video and thus didn't know. :)
I still hold to the point that most of the people that talk shit like that, never end up voting anyway. Voter turnout is always so low in the inner city because (from the people I've talked to, who actually know something about politics) they feel like no matter who gets in office, they'll just end up getting shafted anyway, so they feel like why should they bother?
But I don't want people to think that because one douchebag says some dumb shit that it could possibly represent the way an entire group feels.
jsarno 09-19-2008, 11:47 PM I didn't miss it. I saw it.
But you said it's funny how people are pissed a spoiled athlete but look the other way when it's come to your Obama clip (to paraphrase).
But if all Howard did was just stand there respectuflly, this wouldn't be an issue.
He did much more than that
I understand what you're saying now.
onlydarksets 09-20-2008, 12:07 AM Anyone see Cuban's blog? He posted hate email received from various people. He also posted their email addresses. He subsequently took it down.
I made my point « blog maverick (http://blogmaverick.com/2008/09/19/i-made-my-point/)

Thanks SmootSmack for helping to make my point.
And D, all I said that if Obama had a "vast amount" of supporters who felt that way, not "all". I know that he doesn't have everybody feeling that way that support him.
I'm going to try not to get too emotional here, but this kind of crap just gets my blood boiling. But, Howard felt damn comfortable "thug muging" in front of the camera with his boys, and showing his ass. If he or anybody else feel that strongly about this country, then please do us all a favor and just leave. Just get your unhappy, disrespectful ass out of our country. It is called a visa Howard, and I would even help to pay for it.
All this talk about Obama not wanting to wear a flag pin, and not putting his hand over is heart (or stomach) during the National Anthem should give us all a little pause for concern. He is a freaking U.S. Senator. And this man wants to be our president. Not if I have anything to say about it.
Like I've said in privious threads, this man Obama has questionable people that he associates with, and who support him.

Totally agree. Good post.
Howard is a disgrace the way he went around and made an ass of himself.
About Obama, I just find it odd that this is a senator not following the code.
http://www.stpeteblue.com/Flagcode.htm
"During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there."
So he's either really stupid, or really ignorant. How can you run for president and do such a thing?
Although his stance on 3rd term abortion is even a stronger reason not to vote for him.

Blah!
Everything gets so political. :(
