You said it perfectly. You know who (by fanbase definition) didn't look like an NFL QB 20 starts into his career? Drew Brees. Yes, the same one who is leading the NFL in every passing category. Some fans either don't believe in or don't know how to measure progress.
I remember they drafted Rivers cause they didn't thought Brees wasn't going to be any good. SD had no patience. Brees got it done yesterday w/out Colston and Shockey. He's not the biggest guy, or he doesn't have the best arm, but all he does is get the job done. 100% stud of a QB.

The thing I'm noticing now is that a lot of the long pass plays we're seeing are direct results of Jason's escapability from the rush. He's turned plays that could have been losses into huge gains with some nifty footwork. Direct byproduct of Zorn's teachings this year.

I am glad I didn't throw him under the bus early. I always said give the guy a chance. I got kicked off a board for that. I got grief for saying the D-Line needs to get more sacks and pressures (which is still true). Another one of my assesments was that Horton needs to start (I see Doughty got burned again).
But enough of that. I saw JC get torn down by so many people. The Colt Cult is quiet now. People who were hating JC are coming around now. They were saying he wasn't smart enough. He couldn't be a QB in this league. He can't be a leader. His release is too slow. Now the haters are eating crow and I am glad because by them eating crow it relates to us winning. I am glad I kept the faith towards the end of preseason I got kind of weary. But the scary thing is. This is only one quarter of the season. Imagine what he is going to do when he gets more comfortable and Kelly Davis and Thomas are adding to the receiving corp. Scary isn't it.
I guess Joe Gibbs did know what he was doing with Campbell. Its still early and I hope he progresses even more along the way and makes more people eat crow.

JC is finally living up to the potential he was credited with when he came out of college. I think confidence is the important thing. He now has all the confidence in his O line his recievers, and his defense.
Hail to the redskins
He is on 980 right now with Doc and Kevin.
kevin to Jason: "Jason, how did it feel to run the Cowboys into the ground in the fourth quarter? They were tired and you guys just kept pounding them". Jason: "It felt.....GREAT!!""
This is dude is VERY happy with the situation we have. he describes the other guys the same..Cooley, Moss, El are having a REAL good time.
I CANNOT help but believe we are just a Juggernaut like, Perfect Storm......just beginnning to gather momentum. Might be this year, might be next, but IT WILL be unleashed full force!

Those 10-12 lbs he lost during the off season is really starting to benefit him. What a big difference from last year when he couldn't hang onto the ball in the pocket.

What I'm loving is he escapes in the pocket, resets and makes big plays down the field. Love seeing this young man play like this, 3-1 in the first quarter is a heckuva start!

I think there will be more long plays as vets get more comfortable and Thomas and Kelly get in the mix more. With the rookies in gear there also will be big targets for that goal line fade.
It was JC's year to no longer be a beginner, and either shine or bust. Since he is shining in a big way, we may be well set at quarterback for years. SWEEET!
