Ok, Powell Supports Obama, but does Obama support Colin? It would be pretty shitty if he didn't.

Somebody still doesn't get it.

Somebody still doesn't get it. Support Colin for what? Powell isn't running for public office. Can't you accept support from someone who doesn't totally agree with you? KLHJ2 10-20-2008, 01:50 PM Support Colin for what? Powell isn't running for public office. Can't you accept support from someone who doesn't totally agree with you? You have proved my point. saden1 10-20-2008, 01:52 PM The only thing Rush Limbaugh is suggesting is that this endorsement is based on race (http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1008/Limbaugh_Where_are_the_inexperienced_white_liberal s_Powell_has_endorsed.html). Black guy supporting another black guy. "Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race," Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail. "OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with."Perhaps Powell wants to redeem himself? Doesn't want to make the same mistake by endorsing a pro war implosive guy like McCain? I mean, he did walk away from the Bush administration after all. Nah, not sexy enough. This is pure unadulterated black racism. Beemnseven 10-20-2008, 01:58 PM You have proved my point. Okay, help me out here: What point are you trying to make, exactly? KLHJ2 10-20-2008, 02:19 PM Ok, Powell Supports Obama, but does Obama support Colin? It would be pretty shitty if he didn't. ...Pause for effect.... Somebody still doesn't get it. It is a pun, and no longer funny because I had to explain it. Maybe it was never funny. OK, I FAIL. saden1 10-20-2008, 02:33 PM Rush at his best...he forgot to say Powell is a RINO. SnJsYu1gzmQ Hog1 10-20-2008, 04:56 PM Big endorsement...........timing is interesting. Why not at the DNC, or months ago? drew54 10-20-2008, 09:32 PM I think that has to be the most well thought out reasoning anyone has had about both candidates. He couldn't have summed up this muslim phobia any better. Rush Limbaugh is a washed up racist. Just ask McNabb. I am actually fearful of how radical the two parties have become, but I have lost the most faith in the Republican party at this time. They need to refocus on what matters. Lets hope that whomever wins, they put the people first, and as of right now that appears to be the Obama camp. Slingin Sammy 33 10-20-2008, 10:03 PM Full endorsement in full context...it's the most reasoned endorsement I have ever seen: One of the better You Tube clips you've posted. Don't agree with Powell on some of his points or his final choice, but he has made a thoughtful choice. I wish all folks voting would look at the candidates and issues as thoughtfully (not suggesting anyone here doesn't do that). I don't know WTF Rush is talking about, he certainly isn't helping McCain's chances with his nonsense. Way to not alienate undecideds/moderates Rush ????? Powell mentioned twice that the GOP has moved too far to the right. On social issues, he's correct. On fiscal issues, the Bush administration has ballooned gov't spending more than Clinton did. Certainly nothing conservative happened spending wise in the last 8 years. |
