In retrospect. I guess it looks like we should have went with some D-lineman. Since Thomas, Kelly and Davis are doing ish...BUt that's neither here nor their. So they better step their game up after this bye week. They have no more excuses and we need to put Kelly's ass on IR if he can't play one snap. They seem like 3 waste pics. We could have atleast used two of them on D-Lineman and what a bust Tryon is..

Who's to say the rookie D-lineman wouldn't be sitting on the bench for us as well? Guys like Merling and Campbell aren't exactly lighting it up this year

You are correct. Merling and Campbell are not lighting it up. Mario Williams did not light it up his first year, either. All I was saying was that, in general, defensive lineman require less seasoning than wide receivers do.

Some support for my previous argument. Here are rookie year catch totals for some notable non-busts:

Santana Moss 2
Donald Driver 3
Steve Smith 10
Hines Ward 15
Brandon Marshall 20
Plaxico Burress 22
Isaac Bruce 21
Chad Johnson 28

Two names just of the top of my head and not trying. Desean Jackson and Avery of the Rams..and not saying we should have picked a receiver. But just not 3 (icluding TE Davis - espcially since we had Yoder). We could have picked up Devin and used the other pick on a DE.

It's way too early to be calling anyone busts. We returned what, 20 of 22 starters? This wasn't a team that was going to depend heavily on our rookies right away anyway.

I agree that we should have used at least one pick on either the Dline or Oline instead of 3 receivers, but that is history now. Hopefully this draft there aren't any sexy receivers when it is our pick or they might not be able to help themselves again.

Our defense is playing great right now, better than it has in past years. A lot of credit should go to Blatche. Somebody showed Carlos Rogers how to play cornerback, then Fred Smoot didn't want to be outdone so he started playing better than ever. The defensive line with all those knockdowns and good run defense makes the Redskins an awesome opponent for any team. And Jim Zorn has been a successful NFL coach even if we don't win another game this year. The Redskins have made me expect W's instead of shaking my head as in past years wondering how we were going to give games away.

I have to admit I'm still wonder how we are going to lose a game, even today. Something always seems to happen that turns the momentum to the other team. The difference here seems that the team is gaining some confidence that they can overcome a screwup that the last few years would have cost the game. That Kendall fumble rings very loud in my ears. NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. It's possible that fumble costs us the Div Championship. Things are changing for the better as you have noted. Keep the good Karma. I'm working on mine.

I've got all the sack I need.

Sorry, I had to say it. I have been debating with myself all morning. I feel better now knowing that I am a loser with no self control.

If I'm correct we had to other turn overs in that game. Cooley getting us near scoring and JC fumble which I believe we were in scoring position. Kandall saw a ball in the air and reacted like any player would. It just happened a Ram's player got his hat on the ball and knocked it out just perfect for a team mate to run it back. Fluke play but its not Kendall's fault we lost that game.
