They gave the ball to Marion Barber 11 straight times to step on our throat. Wow. That's embarrassing. Barring a big turnaround, we're in a for an ugly stretch run. We seem to be regressing weekly.

I don't think we're out of the playoff picture yet, but we're not going to win too many games scoring 10 points and going 3 and out half the time we have the ball. People are hating on the Def tonite but in all seriousness when you let a team like Dallas control TOP your defense is going to become exhausted pretty quickly. Story would have been different if the offense established consistently long drives that kept Dallas' offense and our defense off the field.

Kudos to Portis playing hurt. The guy wants to win and is not afraid to go out there and try to carry the team on his back. IMHO, he's the best get we've had in the past 5 years not just from a standpoint of being a great running back, but also being a positive influence on the field and in the locker room.

I feel for Jason Campbell. It must suck being him because it seems like every time he drops back to pass he's walking on a mine field in a war zone. The passing game will never develop without protection. It's gotta start with the line.

Can't do much with the line until the end of the year, but for now sit down Jansen and put Heyer back out on the field. I seriously think Jansen has a better future as a commentator than a RT. The O-line is in serious need of a youth movement.

Some of us were saying that long before the April draft, but apparently there were NO offensive linemen worth taking with any of our THREE second round picks.

they also refused to call holding and many facemasks at the line

Do you think this is why we lost?

I imagined Zorn would show a little more passion in the post game conference.

I think Thomas would be a stretch. God knows Jansen and Rabach need to go. Kendall.. I think he's flying under the radar, I don't know how he's been doing honestly. Hes part of that strong side over with Samuels. So I wouldn't mind keeping him.Kendall is having a great year. Samuels WAS having a great year, but the injury is clearly making a difference. Rabach is awful. Thomas is awful. Jansen hasn't been that bad, but he's not agile enough to block someone with more than one move. Luckily, on the right side, most of the rushers he faces only have one move, and he did pretty well tonight. Campbell has little faith in him and keeps flushing himself on plays were Jansen actually has pretty good leverage.

The OL is pretty good at run blocking, but it doesn't matter if teams can just stack the box on you.

We faced a lot of piss poor opposing coaches in the the first half of the season, which I think masked a lot of issues with the offensive line. We were able to grind out the fourth quarter because Campbell was BURNING people who blitzed us. So rather than fill the box and not blitz, these idiot coaches just backed way off and Portis just gashed them.

Randle El has been huge this year for us, but when he's hurt there's just nothing the passing game can hope to accomplish. Our offensive depth is beyond the realm of awful. Back in 2006, a lack of depth on defense killed us. We've totally fixed that problem, and we now have great depth on defense, but we need everyone healthy on offense to be great and we're just not.

Also: Landry is not Sean Taylor back there. Teams can get the big plays against us.

I knew when we didn't capitalize on those turnovers. We were going to lose. It was just like the Steelers game. The defense can't keep up like that the whole game. They're bound to give at some point. Dallas & our poor offensive play eventually wore them down.

not necessarily

it could have changed the game, but if you can't put up more than 10 points you have bigger issues than missed calls, imo

Look at the offensive and defensive lines of the Titans, Giants and Patriots. Chris Samuels might be the only player on our team that plays offensive or defensive line that would actually be a starter on any of those three units. Randy Thomas has really really dropped off. Rabach and Jansen are just bad. Griffin and Kendall are old. Andre Carter is mediocre, Golston and Motgomery are just ok and Jason Taylor is hurt and or washed up. It's a pretty sad state of affairs.

Couldn't say it better if I tried. The exact precise reason why we're not winning. We don't force turnovers or pressure the QB. That starts with D-line. O-line has been good run blockers, but they suck something awful in pass pro.

Neglecting the line scrimmage on both sides of the ball in the draft over the years has us where we are today. Mediocre at best.

I agree we have much bigger issues. However, in a 4 point game a few missed calls can cost u the game.
