He doesn't and isn't capable of doing this. Next!Wait, I thought we were talking about Jason Campbell. But this sounds like were talking about some people on this site, and the way they understand football.

Maybe you're right. I think in this win-now league, 1.5 years does say something, though. Last year when JC went out, the Skins were 5-7. Living in Atlanta, I see a rookie kicking ass, and last night I saw someone from Blue Hen U outplay our guy. I'm frustrated and not happy about averaging 8 or 9 points/game against these playoff teams. Campbell might be good in the long run, but he seems to be taking steps backward right now.Be careful if you are going to justify anything by saying it's a win now league. Because that doesn't actually mean anything. 31 teams are going to not win "now", and I wouldn't recommend to them all that they start rebuilding.
Matt Ryan has been the surprise of the year, especially because the guy I saw at BC didn't seem like a can't miss prospect. But I think Atlanta's offense is what you get when you combine an efficient running game with an already established receiving corps, and then allow the QB and the young OL to develop in a fertile environment. I don't think Ryan is Manning-type special, but he does understand the pro game, and as rare as it is for a No. 3 overall QB to come into a great offense from day one, credit the Falcons. That offense was something they started building under Rich McKay, and continued to do with Thomas Dimitroff with the signing of Michael Turner. Joey Harrington and Chris Redman BOTH had career years last year.
We have been trying to do the same thing, but chances are: if you think you need a quarterback, you probably don't have a very good offense.
I would question which game you were watching if you thought Flacco outplayed Campbell though.

how about just trying to throw past the first down markers! why is it if we need 8 yards we pass for 3 if we need 3 yards we pass for 2 and so on. The best passer in the league will have a losing season. Frustrating!

Why do we keep making excuses for JC (4 different offenses, no offensive line, etc.). Face it!! He is a mediocre quarterback who has a long throwing motion, doesn't sense pressure, and doesn’t move well in the pocket like good quarterbacks....AKA Tony Romo & Big Ben for a few examples. Average quarterbacks (Mark Rypien) can look good with a running game, and good offensive line. The question is can Jason be a good QB with an average offensive line, and average running game? My answer would be NO.....

I think the question should be is JC a playmaker or not? Or does JC need everything around him to be clicking in order to win games and play well?
I think he's shown that when the blocking and run game is working well he's a pretty decent qb.
It just so happens that Scouts Inc agrees with you.

Washington
• The Redskins used a variety of five- and three-step drops and play-action passes to offset the aggressive Ravens defense, but they were unable to consistently keep Campbell clean in the pocket. It seemed that when Campbell had time he was able to be effective, especially early on, but he didn't have enough support from the running game to keep the Baltimore defense off-balance.
