That last goal in overtime wasn't his fault. Deflected in by his own player. I'm a bit nervous though. If not for outstanding goaltending we could easily be down 3-0. On Malkin's goal, to allow Billy Guerin to just sit in front of Varlamov without putting him on his ass was pretty bad. And a weak interference call put the Caps on only their 2nd power play all game, from which Backstrom capitalized. If that is a no call, it's 2-1 with no OT. Hopefully they bounce back on Friday... We can't expect 35+ saves from Varly on a regular basis.I think he's been on he's heels trying to defend so much the last few games that he hasn't been able to move up to take extra chances. At some point the other guys are going to have to pick up the slack and let him do his thing as far as scoring goes.
