It just seems to me that the games we have lost (including the rangers series) the caps have been playing down to the apposing teams level. Even last night - we played to the pens level but luckily won. Caps hockey is physical, hard nosed, high powered offense, team oriented hockey. I have only seen that in game 1 and 2 during the pens series and only a select few periods during the rangers series...Thoughts? Nearly every year we talk about picking someone up, but choose not to mess with the roster it seems. While it's building us for contention, we could certainly use someone in that role. And wow, we weren't getting any shots in at all, that has to change.
