it sure does. the government gave him the money, and in return he created jobs. the basic principle of Reaganomics
Sorry you are total off on your Reaganomics. He liked the idea of goverment getting out of the way so business can grow but I don't recall him saying we will buy the stuff for you. It was more he said we will give tax breaks and incentives to help business grow.

Microsoft pays a lot of money in taxes and makes a big contribution to our GDP. I suppose they could just move their business to another country and then we'd get nothing.
With that in mind, I don't have a problem with our government treating them "special".

first, you guys want to employ trickle down economics. then, when someone like Gates uses it to his advantage, you bitch. this guy gives away more money to charity, then all of us combined. get over your self
he gives away more than we even make combined
I will say this, F Microsoft. Just got the red ring of death on my 2nd xbox 360. This one lasted about a year and a half, same as my first one. I guess that's the shelf life for these pieces of crap. Good thing I bought a replacement plan.

my sons' unit bit the dust twice. both times they fixed it, and paid for shipping. they are doing alright by me:)
Yeah I'm not worried about it getting fixed, it's just annoying that they put out such a piece of junk system.

I heard the unit needs to be well-ventilated, almost to the point of impracticality. You sure it's well ventilated?
Yeah it gets plenty of air, it sits on a glass shelf in my TV stand.
