Report: Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz tested positive for PEDs in 2003 - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4366335)
Nothing breaks a curse like good old fashioned juicing.
More seriously, like always, sucks for these guys that these supposedly anonymous test results were leaked.

^ Seriously it has lost it's shock value. the one player that would shock me at this point would be Curt Schilling just becasue he was so against them.

The only part of this I find interesting is that a great majority of those testing positive are Latin American players. Why? I know a lot of them are good friends so maybe it was just one clique but I find it hard to believe it was only them.

big papi said players caught using roids should be banned for life.
why so many latin americans? PEDs are readily available and not illegal in the domincan republic among other places.

Ask 100 Red Sox fans if they would accept their star players being on roids if it meant the team would win the World Series in 2004 (and 2007), and 200 hands would go up.
This would be news if they tested negative for PEDs.

I'm not a Red Sox fan, so it's not in my interest that their 2004 title (or 2007 title) be defended, but consider that a) 104 other players tested positive in the year Manny and Ortiz tested positive, which was actually 2003, and b) the Yankee team that beat the Red Sox in the 2003 playoffs consisted of Andy Pettite (admitted PED user), Jason Giambi (admitted PED user, in grand jury testimony), and Roger Clemens (Mitchell report name). Just saying . . .
