One of my gripes about this game is the players tire way too easily. Any drive over 5-6 plays and your guys are all gassed.
i found switching the players i control on D really helps not having my guys need subbing. if im AH i know if i try and bull rush (power boost) the O lineman two plays in a row he is going to be replaced with montgomery. so i try to use AH 1 snap, then orakpo 1 snap, barnes or a LB etc until i cycle back to a fresher AH since the comp doesnt use nearly as much burst as i do.
on offense ive really noticed that running the ball 3 or more times with CP will cause him to not have alot of acceleration in the latter carries. as it should be, in real life portis isnt going to have the same burst on his 4th or 5th straight carry as his first of a series.

the Skins offensive ratings dropped bad after last year.
Portis should be a 94. hes a 93.
Moss... 86... hes a 1000 yard potential guy every season... he should be 88 at least.
Cooley should be a 93. Hes a 91. no sense for his ratings to drop.. whats the excuse lack of touchdown catches?
they didnt match my projections at all.

They changed the rating system, you can't really compare them to last year

Probably in SmootSmack's Madden '10, where he's the 2nd QB. LOL. :silly:

Some new thoughts:
- It's funny but in setting the Redskins roster to the actual 53 man one announced recently I found out that I actually make the Redskins an 84 overall. Apparently getting rid of people makes the team better.
- The computer is adjusting way to fast to everything I do. It's to the point now where it feels like no ones ever open. Also I'm kind of pissed at how the DB's always seem to be able to predict when my recievers are going to run an out instead of an in and vice versa. It's like they start to break before my recievers do.
- I'm tired of the offensive line frequently becoming turn styles lately whenever I try and run the ball.
- I want Big Mike and Marcus Mason in the game.
- Marko Mitchell is awesome at this game
- Why does Devin Thomas have a higher catch rating then Malcolm Kelly?
- On Supersim there are way to many special teams touchdowns.
- They need to rework the placement of the timeout and challenge play options. I'm kind of a creature of habit so sometimes I'll go to try and select Supersim and accidently challenge the play then I'll overshoot coaching options and select timeout.
- They need to let you work on your substitution packages in the pause menu.

It's kind of funny how often you need to expalin this concept to people. I have a friend that's a Falcons fan and he freaked when he saw the ratings for the Falcons players. Took me a good 5 minutes to explain it and even then he thought it was bull shit.

Anybody else think Devin Thomas got jobbed on his speed rating? I use him to return kickoffs (all pro) and there's been a few times now where he's caught from behind after breaking free for a big return.
Tired of the cheesers already. Played this guy the other day who used Philly and of course he put in Vick and just scrambled all over the place. Luckily Vick's accuracy is pretty piss poor so he ended up getting picked off twice and missing a bunch of other throws pretty bad.

I know exactly how you feel. I have been countering it by mixing up the types of routes that I use. It also helps significantly to sub your recievers into different positions to get those defensive mismatches. It's fun to watch a LB try to cover Moss on a skinny post

So I haven't really played this game until this last weekend. Overall, I like it a lot. I feel it is definitely a bit more realistic and tactical. With the right amount of tactics I was owning my buds, who all bought the game the night it came out.
I agree with others that people get fatigued/injured too often. This rate should be higher than it was in 09, but madden 10 made it too much. Also the fumble scrum is annoying.
