Cris Collinsworth is Smug Punk

Offensive.

The filthy smugness with which Collinsworth utters the word "unbelievable" whenever a player errs makes me want to beat him like a step child.

Really?

I guess it is just personal preference then. I think his overall knowledge for the game is great. I love his QB analyst, he has always been fair when I have been listening.

I also don't think he is a Eagles' homer when he is broadcasting. He will throw in a joke here and there about how he thinks the Eagles are great, etc. but overall he is quite fair and smart.I love Jaws because he'll assert things that are completely ridiculous if he has strong objective reason to believe that said assertion is correct. Reminds me of myself.

He's also better with film than anyone in the business, including Madden.

I think Joe Buck is the best broadcaster in the business right now. I think it's odd that all of you dislike him.

At first I hated the news that CC was taking over for Madden, but once I saw the game the other night I quickly realized who's in the booth really doesn't matter unless they are downright horrible, and CC may not be great but he's not in Bill Maas territory.

See I understand what you are saying, but IMO things are not ridiculous if there is some objective reason.

I was an econ and foreign major, so arguing theory is my thing.

i'm in the minority, but actually enjoy when Collinsworth does a game. He is a bit smug, but he's got a self-deprecating side too that balances it out.

He does, but IMO that comes off as fake. I don't know, something is wrong with the whole package(ha ha ha...waiting for phallic related humor).

so is it actually every morning of the week or is it only the morning after the game? if it is every morning then i'm happy for him, i think he kinda got the shaft on his tv gig. what stinks though, is i don't believe i get that radio station down here in chesapeake.

See this is where I disagree. I think JT deserved it. I love him as a Skin, but in the box didn't seem to know a whole ton. Just my two cents.

Don't complain, you could get a team of Bryant Gumbel, Dennis Miller and Keith Olberman. That's scary.


The current MNF crew is horrible though. Gruden replacing Kornheiser is a big upgrade though. Hopefully they'll focus more on football and less on Charles Barkley's run for Governor this season...or whomever the random celebrity who knows nothing about football is for the night.

Gifford, Michaels, and Dierdorf were my favorite crew. Michaels and Madden were great too.
