I've never had a palm, but I've had a blackberry, a Motorola Q, and now the iPhone. I equate the iPhone to killing ants with hand gernades. It's far superior IMO.

I like the iphone for other reasons, but I cannot live without push email. MTK 08-29-2009, 12:12 AM No push email on the iPhone definitely sucks. Another big negative on the iPhone is the keyboard... I've gotten used to it now and I'm pretty fast with it, but it's still annoying. Dogtag 08-29-2009, 09:01 AM I'm a Blackberry guy ... have one for work and one for personal use. Added a Vlingo application and now I just give verbal commands to the phone without having to type on a small keyboard with big fingers. charlied72 09-01-2009, 08:44 PM At first i hated my iphone but with the updates and apps i now love it. Blackberry is pretty sweet too. htownskinfan 09-01-2009, 10:56 PM I've never had a palm, but I've had a blackberry, a Motorola Q, and now the iPhone. Not sure if you got the 3Gs, but it has sick voice command. The recognition is awesome. Just hold down the button and say "Call Bob," and in seconds you're on the phone with Bob. Just as easy as any speed dial I've ever used. htownskinfan 09-02-2009, 08:15 AM Not sure if you got the 3Gs, but it has sick voice command. The recognition is awesome. Once you have your contacts in, you can add them to your favorites list. Then, push the main button on the phone twice (circle on the bottom of the front) and it opens your favorites list. Push the name you want to call and it dials the number automatically. For the iPhone 3g you can also download a free app for voice recognition called the Melodis Dialer. It works pretty well. I don't use my iPhone for work, but I'm pretty sure they have push mail for microsoft exchange accounts. I don't know about other email accounts. Since I don't really need to know right away when someone emails my personal account, that would be good enough for me. I guess you can tell that my vote would be for an iPhone. |
