Re: iPhone, Blackberry or Palm

Linux based Google Android is where it's at. Haven't tried the Palm Pre (also based on Linux) yet but I here good things about it. In the next 12 months about 20 android phones are expected to come out from a host of vendors and that's where the future is at.

Next phone I get will be a smartphone, but I'll probably go WinMo for the device OS (for Work interaction, then see if I can get them to eat some of my monthly cost), so I'll go HTC Touch Pro2 or the Samsung Omnia II.

Blackberry, but not by choice. I don't pay for my cell phone service so I really don't care.

Re: iPhone, Blackberry or Palm

I have the G1, it's good, but could use more apps more power. My first preference is a touchscreen. I had the Treo 680, then went to the Dash, and hated losing the touchscreen. I have had the G1 about 2 months, and really like it a lot.

I hate Blackberries. no rational reason, just hate them.

I rock the SBTB ZM phone

I got an upgrade

Seriously though...I have a Blackberry Curve (work phone), and I like it for the things I need. Which is mainly emails and phone calls.

I've heard really good things about the Palm Pre

My wife has an iPhone and while it has a lot of really cool apps, I'm not a huge fan of it for checking email or texting

Re: iPhone, Blackberry or Palm

I've never had a palm, but I've had a blackberry, a Motorola Q, and now the iPhone. I equate the iPhone to killing ants with hand gernades. It's far superior IMO.

just lost my Q in the woods 4 wheelin,no ins, loved the push button email and notifications telling me I had email.I went for a refurbished iphonefor 49 bucks, should get it tommorow, hope I like it.Im pretty sure the iphone doesnt have it,but i dont know for sure,I like having the speed dial feature where you just push 1 button and it dials the number,Im thinking with the iphones touchscreen it probably doesnt have that, but i dont know for sure.Luckily the new car i have has voice actived bluetooth so dialing a number while driving wont be a problem.

Not sure if you got the 3Gs, but it has sick voice command. The recognition is awesome. Just hold down the button and say "Call Bob," and in seconds you're on the phone with Bob. Just as easy as any speed dial I've ever used.
